Welcome Michael! If you haven't already, I would highly recommend the Workfront training courses (for yourself and your staff). They do a great job with the Instructor Led Web Training.

Cool. Thanks. Yeah I've done both (used the Parent/Summary and used the Milestone). Totally a preference thing. I went back to using the Parent/Summary in Workfront (when appropriate of course) because I got tired of entering all the preds in the Milestone. Felt like it was too time consuming when I...

  • In the terminology I've been taught, a Summary Task and a Parent Task are the same thing (MS Project calls it a Summary Task, WF a Parent Task). If it's at the bottom (and not highlighted), I think what would be more of what is called a Milestone Task (in PM terminology, not the WF setting). And the...

  • Hi Jodi, Yes it's possible to have 13 predecessors and even reasonable depending on your project (size, dependencies, etc.). Whether it's accurate is probably more the question and that is up to you. If the task in question isn't truly dependent on all the predecessors, yes it should be changed. Bec...

  • Basically it just assigns it to yourself and moves it from the Work Requests to Working On tab in our My Work. That's pretty much it I think. It's just to acknowledge that you accept the Task. I don't know if Working On goes away when the new Home replaces My Work.

  • Hi Amber, Yeah it sounds like you're doing the right thing. I think a call to Support (as you mentioned) would be in order. I'm wondering if something is "stuck". I would maybe try to Recalculate the Timeline and try it again. I'm just taking stabs in the dark at this point, but sometimes kinda rese...

  • Yeah I was about to ask the same question. What are the steps of the operation you're doing? Because I did in fact verify changing the Status works very easily, so I suspect the answer might lie in what steps you're executing.
