Agree completely! I was also trying to use that field for some custom grouping and could not. I ended up basically creating a field that does the same calculation. I would expect that this is a common KPI factor. The "Late" condition doesn't cut for most organizations since "Late" can be minutes...

We all get why you'd need to have some closed items on a timesheet. However, when you have a lot of issues that are being resolved, it'd be awesome to be able to quickly get to the open items by color coding them green or something (visual management).
