We added what we needed via custom fields on the task level.

You can do it, but you have to make the status available for everyone across the entire instance as a default and locked status. It's not a clean way of doing it as Kanban and Agile teams work through task status differently. Upvote the agile one as well as it is the same issue.

I would love the ability to use a group's status instead of a system status for this. Using a system status seems like an architectural miss in the software as you are running both waterfall and agile projects and need the ability to each methodology.

We have the same problem with reporting project status. Green comes up in Blue. Blue should equal complete. On time should equal green and At Risk should equal Yellow and Behind should equal Red. We did walk Anna through these use cases. I also agree with Marc on the budgeting status. With that said...

I would also add on this one to include Program and Portfolio in the prompt.

I also hope this includes anything that happens in the Setup pages. There was an incident a while back where one of the SysAdmins inadvertently deleted the milestone paths and we didn't really catch it until two weeks after. It was PAINFUL to go back in and update those projects.
