It probably has something to do with the access level of the user. They would need to have edit rights to documents in order to update a document custom form. Let me know if that helps!

Right!?! Well, if you cannot figure it out, there is no answer. 

I have talked to many of the experts and consultants on this but no one can seem to give me a straight answer on how the estimated completion date is calculated on a burndown chart. The help article says it is based on the "rate of points completed". I am not entirely sure what they mean by "rate". ...

Thanks Kevin.We too, have the PMs set as the owners. In our case the PM would never know who that third party recipient would be so that is why we allow the sharing. I guess they will just have to log in each time. boooo 
