Well the webserver is the important piece of the puzzle. The data exported from the publisher is in a format which might be supported by Apache (for redirection) but not IIS. Not to forget the support for reflecting changes without a webserver restart is also an important part of the solution.

Update: As of now the OAuth integration is still not available for use to push XF from AEM to Target. This is the below message we get when we try to configure. (Tested with 6.5.19)
