Re: Deploying Oak Indexes to AEM as a Cloud Service - Adobe Experience Manager 08-04-2022
@icegoffy it looks like you're deploying wknd code. Is there a reason you're needing to update indexes on the wknd project? Normally you would start building project code from a fresh codebase generated from the latest archetype? It's possible there's something in the wknd codebase that is causing issues, I'd have to dig in there further but not sure I'll have time to do that in the near future. Also, I'm not sure that configuration is in the right place. Here's the section of the pom.xml that sh...

Re: AEM CIF + Magento on Publish - Adobe Experience Manager 04-04-2022
No you need to add a proxy in your dispatcher that does this. Look at the code he posted above, that is included in the CIF: # CQ-4287185: Allow access to magento reverse-proxy endpoint SSLProxyEngine on ProxyPass ${COMMERCE_ENDPOINT} ProxyPassReverse ${COMMERCE_ENDPOINT} RewriteEngine Off you'll need to make sure the COMMERCE variable is set to true, and then it should enable your proxy within the dispatcher, assuming you have the latest version of the dispatcher code (you might have to pull ...

Re: AEM CIF + Magento on Publish - Adobe Experience Manager 25-02-2022
This is the right way to do it, I forgot the CIF team had added this into the codebase now. I haven't been working on the CIF for a minute, but now I remember that they added this code in. I should probably upgrade ours to use the CIF version of the reverse proxy rather than our custom one 🙂It works in author because they built a proxy into the author instance via code, but the proxy is not active in publish. My assumption is that they did that to ensure that all the authoring pieces will work ...

Re: AEM CIF + Magento on Publish - Adobe Experience Manager 24-02-2022
I updated my local dispatcher tools to have an ENVIRONMENT_LOCAL option, and then use that in conjunction with an addition I made to our vhost file like this: ProxyErrorOverride off ProxyPass /api/graphql http://host.docker.internal:3001 ProxyPassReverse /api/graphql http://host.docker.internal:3001 so I just use the dispatcher as a proxy. Since the dispatcher starts in a VM, I believe you also need a local npx proxy in order to forward traffic along to Adobe I/O like this:npx local-cors-proxy -...

Re: AEMaaCS - Error Handling using the acs-aem-commons package - Adobe Experience Manager 19-01-2022
For 500 errors, you need to set up the error page to 301 redirect to another page. This will interrupt the redirect chain that Adobe has in place to send you to their error page. So basically set up your error page to point to/my-custom-error-pageand then in your rewrite rules, set up a 301 redirect for /my-custom-error-page that points to the page you actually want the user to hit. This will then force them to your page and prevent the Adobe error page from displaying. The only caveat is that t...

Re: Deploying Oak Indexes to AEM as a Cloud Service - Adobe Experience Manager 03-12-2021
That's awesome, I'm glad it worked! This was driving me nuts, and I happened upon the Jackrabbit Jira ticket where this was discussed and resolved, so I was bent on making it work as soon as I saw that the validator was fixed!

Deploying Oak Indexes to AEM as a Cloud Service - Adobe Experience Manager 02-12-2021
Hi everyone! I was struggling a bit with this topic, so figured I'd post a discussion to help any others who are having issues. The setup to load new or updated oak indexes into the cloud is fairly simple, and there's already documentation on how to do this...however, with the latest version of the filevault-package-maven-plugin plugin (v 1.0.5 - 1.2.2), you will get validation errors if you try to include an oak index in your ui.apps module. If you've tried doing this, you have probably seen an...

Re: AEM as Cloud Service :: Custom oak index - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2021
1 small note, it looks like you do still need to add truein your ui.apps pom.xml. You don't need to do that to get it to pass the package type validation, but you do need it to pass the jackrabbit-oakindex validator!

Re: AEM as Cloud Service :: Custom oak index - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2021
I figured out how to handle this without downgrading. Hopefully this helps you out too!You can actually resolve this issue without having to downgrade to version 1.0.4 of the filevault plugin. The latest versions of the validator do take this situation into account (3.5.x) and you can override the filevault plugin to use a newer version of the validator. Unfortunately filevault-package-maven-plugin version 1.1.6 does not include the latest validator, so you'll have to override that one dependenc...

Re: Oak Index with AEM as Cloud service - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2021
To follow up on this, you can actually resolve this issue without having to downgrade to version 1.0.4 of the filevault plugin. I've created an article here with more details: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/deploying-oak-indexes-to-aem-as-a-cloud-service/m-p/433224
