Hi @Jörg_Hoh, based on the information provided by you in your last comment, I have now found a reason why the problem regarding the Javadoc of all classes which are located in the package "javax.jcr" and its sub-packages, like for example the class "javax.jcr.security.AccessControlManager" (described in my question #2 from my "main question"), is not a problem for you. The reason is that the Javadoc jar of the "aem-sdk-api" (for the CloudService project) contains the Javadoc of these packages, ...

Hi @Jörg_Hoh, you mentioned that you have Procyon configured as the Decompiler. Are you using the "Enhanced Class Decompiler" plugin for Eclipse (https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/enhanced-class-decompiler)? If not, which other decompiler plugin are you using? I ask, because I wonder if you use some other decompiler plugin which works better than the one which I installed. When I select Procyon as the decompiler (under Preferences > Java > Decompiler) and afterwards press F3 on the class "...

Hi @Jörg_Hoh, thank you for your answer. - I will post an idea regarding the sources jar and extended javadoc jar for the uber-jar to the ideas section mentioned by you. I have installed a decompiler plugin (https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/enhanced-class-decompiler) in my Eclipse today, but it makes things partially worse, because when I open with F3 the decompiled source code for a class from the uber-jar for which no real source code is attached, then afterwards I can't see the Javadoc...

Hi @Jörg_Hoh, of course I had already earlier enabled the Maven settings in Eclipse for downloading the artifact sources and Javadoc (this was one of the first things which I had checked in my Eclipse), but this didn't solve the problems which are described in my original two questions above. Otherwise I wouldn't post my original questions at all. - Here we come back to the questions #1 and #2 regarding the problems with the missing sources (for open source projects) and Javadoc (for some propri...

Hi @Jörg_Hoh, which decompiler are you using in Eclipse? - However, using a decompiler to decompile the source code of open source projects is indeed not what I expect to achieve and not what is usually being done.

Please note that the answer of @jbrar does not answer the question #2 from my main "question" at all (regarding the javadoc jar). It only partially answers my first question (regarding the source code) and therefore I find this answer insufficient (please see my comment from ‎04-03-2021 above for more information regarding this part). I still hope that someone else will be able to provide me some helpful hints. I actually also hope that Adobe will decide to make its product better for the develo...

(Updated)Hi @Jörg_Hoh, thank you for updating your comment. It's great to hear that you have managed to solve this problem for you. Could you please share your knowledge with us and write how you managed to configure Eclipse so that after pressing the key F3 (for the command "Open Declaration") in your Java code on the type "org.apache.jackrabbit.api.security.user.UserManager", the source code of this class is displayed and at the same time (without changing the Java Source Attachment for the ub...

Hi @jbrar, as I wrote above, the file "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar" which we have is empty - it does not contain any source code, not even the source code of the open source libraries which are included in the uber-jar. - Please note that exactly these open source libraries and not the Adobe's proprietary code are the point about which I have asked in my question #1 regarding the source code. It's interesting to hear that the software developers at Adobe are able to use such a file with the sourc...

Hi @jbrar, I can't find it neither under the public repo [1], because it is currently unavailable. When I go to that URL, using the Chrome browser, I receive an error "Error: Request Entity Too Large: head". I know that I had indeed accessed this repo in the past, because I also have it in my bookmarks, but now it doesn't work. I hope that Adobe will fix this issue also. Anyway, I am almost sure that we have received the file "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar" from Adobe. However, if you know a differ...

Hi @jkpanera, I read your question and the replies of the Adobe employees here. I see that none of the replies here is an accepted solution to your question, though it's an old question and I see that you are still active in this community. Did you find a solution? By the way, I have added a question regarding my problems here: Why the "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar" does not contain the source code of all open source libraries and why it does not contain at least a Javadoc for some proprietary cod...

Hi, I have two questions which are related to the usage of the "uber-jar" in an IDE like Eclipse: Question 1) Why the file "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar" does not contain at least the source code of the open source libraries which are included in the uber-jar? Why it is either empty or not provided by Adobe at all? For example, why it does not contain the source code of "org.apache.jackrabbit.api.security.user.UserManager"? At least the file "uber-jar-6.5.5-javadoc.jar" contains the Javadoc of the...

Hi @davidjgonzalezzzz, unfortunately today I can't access neither of both tutorials which I had reported earlier. So it's actually now much worse than it had been before I reported these issues. At least earlier I had access to almost all parts of these tutorials and now I have no access at all to neither of them... Here are the URLs which had earlier worked for both tutorials:1) https://experienceleague.adobe.com/?recommended=ExperienceManager-D-1-2019.1.architect2) https://experienceleague.ado...
