I learned from Adobe Support "Currently only raster images are available in search results as JPEGs.Other asset types (such as AI/Vectors/EPS etc.) can only be downloaded as their original files type using the API." So we will need download as jpeg outside of the AEM assets integration.

On the Adobe Stock site, you can set default download type for vector or JPEG.  When i download the same file through Adobe Stock/AEM integration, it is always the .ai version.  Is there a setting in AEM to control the default download type from Adobe Stock?
