For already authored components you are able to see overlay and able to edit, but for new components you are unable to see overlay and open dialog. My understanding correct? If yes check the values of model.verticalNav and model.horizontalNav for old and new components.

@ariesyinn Images are binary data, which will be stored as jcr:data on jcr:content node. Which can not be updated from crx/de. One way is do it locally and create and install the package.

One observation is if it is data-sly.test the it should be data-sly-test. replace .test with -test and check.

Logic should be public String getLaunchEnabled() { if (request.getParameter("launchDisabled") == null) return "true" ; return request.getParameter("launchDisabled"); } right. You code just checking null not returning the actual parameter value.

It should not be in Private-Package, it should be in Export-Package
