Hello, guys,I am curious to know how to fully configure the Launch DTM library which we import in our website's pages. A little background: we have configured our instances to work with Launch through the gateway of Adobe IO.Now, under the chosen /conf path we have these nodes:While in the configuration panel we have:I have a series of questions and curiosities and I'd be very thankful if anyone of you could share their knowledge and experience. They're quite a few, I understand, but I genuinely ...

Hello, we are facing a bit of a small colossal issue. We are currently in the middle of implementing a SPA application with Angular and AEM.Essentially, on the AEM side we havea) A template with a root of type wcm/foundation/components/responsivegrid and inside it:an experience fragment for the headera responsivegrid node of type wcm/foundation/components/responsivegridan experience fragment for the footerso basically, something like this:b) various pages using that template with root/responsive...

In the end we opted to listen on the generate event of the JCR node and take action from there, but I consider this suggestion a very clever and viable solution as well. So I am glad the moderator accepted it a solution.I was going to do it myself, when given time.

Add a property to a component's node with Java when dialog is submitted

Hello guys,I am stuck on how to achieve a certain result. The end goal is to add a property to a node when the dialog is submitted. The property should ideally be fetched through Java logic and then added to the dialog properties on the generated node. This should happen for a set of components that have a similar resourceType (i.e. they are all in the same folder) Essentially I am imagining something like the picture:1) the dialog contains the editable configurable component's properties2) on "...

This is the correct answer. Ideally, I would still be able to know the device size resolution on the back-end, without involving the front-end logic: but that's mainly because of our client's peculiar requirements.Thank you, Umesh, for the prompt reply.

Get user device info

Hello, guys, how are you?I am wondering, is there a way I can get informations about the device the user is using to navigate the site, perhaps from the request object?Namely, I'd be interested in informations such as the device group to which the user device belongs, and - ideally - informations about the screen size.I did try adapting the request object to the Device.class, as well as retrieving (successfully so) an instance of the DeviceMapper and then calling the method deviceMapper.getDevic...

Hello, guys, I am having a bit of a doubt. When I access the Experience Fragments' console and I click on an Experience Fragment, I see this:That is to say, I see an option, with my admin account (part of the administrator group) to Export to Adobe Target, and then, eventually, to Update or Delete a Fragment from Adobe Target. This is because we have integrated AEM with Adobe Target. The issue is that our authors - they tell me - do not see the option to Export to Adobe Target, but they can exclusi...

Inherit components in SPA without placing them in editable templates

Hello, guys,my colleagues and I are implementing a SPA application using AEM and Angular. The decision we are currently facing is the following: where can we insert specific components so that they appear in more than one page (always in the same spot) without using the templates?Components like these are the header, the footer, plus a bunch of other components specific for our SPA.Previously, in the implementation that did not rely on Angular (and that was heavily server-side rendered), we woul...

Discontinuous outcome in Target Integration

Hi all, I have encountered a puzzling situation.I have integrated AEM with Target on one author instance (in one of the environments we use in our company).Upon doing the same activity on a different author istance (different as in "belonging to a different enviroment", but identical in terms of configurations and contents), there seems to be an inconsistency between how much I can configure when applying the target configuration to a set of Experience Fragments.Specifically, you see on the left...

Hello,at my workplace we are finalizing the integration between Target and AEM (using Adobe IO).The configurations seem to have gone well, but when I try to export the Experience Fragments to Target, what is received is not a Experience Fragment on AEM, but quite literally the HTML (and on Target, they tell me, they see that the source is Adobe Target Classic). After searching for a while, I think we are encountering the issue described here (https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-man...

Thank you, this was it. I was convinced the team responsible for Target had given me the correct informations, but it seems there had been a misunderstanding. Thank you again for prompting me to check back with them.

I am encountering issues in integrating AEM with Target. After creating a functioning IMS Configuration in Target, I have created the following Target configuration using my IMS Configuration:But when I try to Connect to Adobe Target, I receive the following result: I then proceeded to go and look at the logs, and it seems the end point that gets called is the following (the red part is the client code): So basically https://mc.adobe.io/[client_code]/target/mboxes.Which returns an error. Now I h...

Hi, I am struggling with how to use cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/fileupload in a granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/multifield. I have read the many questions where the topic was discussed, but was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to provide a working sample (for future reference as well) of a functioning cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/fileupload in a granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/multifield.One of my failed attempts (bareboned to be more concise) looks l...

I have a bit of a thorny issue.I have a component (we'll call it trouble-component) that is configured only once on a page, let's say the home page. The presence of the component in that page is overridden with data-sly-resource in the structure (we'll call it generic structure) that is used by that very page (home page and many other pages), so that each page using that structure will contain that resource which was added to the home page in a fashion similar to the following: This produces the ...

There was indeed an overlay and it seems a team was toying with customizing permissions; but since they assigned all users to the group that was forbidden from editing, the options had disappeared. The issue has been since resolved. Thank you, Vishu, for you precious suggestions.

Unable to edit pages on AEM Sites console on author

Up until a day ago, editing pages was possible on our author for the users in a specific group with admin (i.e. total) privileges, so that if they went on Sites they would see something like this: Recently instead (and I cannot figure out what changed), logging in with the same users produces the outcome below: much more limited options... and in particular, the inability to edit pages. We are running on a 6.5 instance. All the bundles are in Status Active or Fragmented. If I inspect the logs I f...
