Re: Data comes into Adobe Analytics after I have stopped... Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Target
The linked article satisfies part of the question around why success conversions are still counted (90 Day Expiration)I have a similar question, but unanswered is why Impressions are still being countedThe Activity in question was certainly set to Inactive and Archived, yet there is a small stream of impressions coming through daily. The volume (especially in the days immediately proceeding) is enough to make me ask The linked A4T document says explicitly that Impressions should no longer be cou...

If a redirect is in the HEAD under a Custom Code modification would the person not be counted in both experiences then?

Redirect Offer to New Dynamic Path Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Target
I am setting up an A/B with a Redirect Offer, and A4T as the reporting sourceThe issue I'm facing is that the destination URL is not static, but the path must be changed and the possibilities are numerous Original: mysite.com/apples/product/ OR mysite.com/bananas/productRedirect: mysite.com/apples-beta/product/ OR mysite.com/bananas-beta/product When using a redirect offer, I only see that there is an ability for a 1:1 redirect, and not an ability to make it dynamic. for example amending "-beta"...

Re: Adobe Target-A/B Test with Redirect url Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Target
This does not answer the original question because /eCommerce/ and /eCommerce-b/ are not part of the query string parameters, they are part of the Path I too have this question

Re: Clear Variable for lnk_e and lnk_d Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Experience Platform Launch
Perhaps prior to setting events for these link types you could add the s.clearVars() ?https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/analytics/implementation/javascript-implementation/function-clearvars.html

Re: Adobe Analytics - What happens when a server call res... Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
I tested this myself today, by adding a querystring parameter to the URL so I could segment my visit once it was baked into AAThere are some clicks I encounter which navigate away from our page which I believe is what causes the cancellation, same as captured in your Abhinav's screen shot While generating my data I tallied the Success Events I expected to see after the session was processed. Some of the calls were cancelled and some of those same clicks made it out before the page unloadedIn my ...

When is an Audience Ready to Use ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Target
I'll be firing up a test in the near future and on the same day we will be activating an Audience based upon a custom Mbox parameterMy question is, does it take time to build up this audience, or will Target know to include the visitor right away upon page load ?The order of actions in Launch areLoad Target > Response Token Listener > Add Params to All Mboxes > Fire Global MboxAs a hypothetical, let's say we want to only include logged-in usersIn Launch, the data element indicating the logged-in...

Re: Report Only the Maximum Value Within a Visit: Counter Evar or Numeric Event ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
I'm going to mark this as the answer so that Urs gets credit alsoIt only occurred to me now that they can also use "Exits" as the metric on the Counter Evar to only show the final, most recent value within the sessionthanks to you both for the contribution

Re: Report Only the Maximum Value Within a Visit: Counter Evar or Numeric Event ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
How would you segment for the final hit of the visit ?Regarding your remark, the need is "what is the max seen within a visit"I considered storing it client side, but there is no way to send upon the last hit of the visit, because it is never known which hit is the last one until the session expires

Report Only the Maximum Value Within a Visit: Counter Evar or Numeric Event ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
Expert friends,The context here is that I am measuring a calendaring featureThe request is to capture the maximum number of days seen within a calendar, which happens in 5 day increments using a Next buttonI am capturing this in two different ways, with a Counter eVar (Visit Expiration) (+5), and a Numeric Event (5) upon each viewThe request from the analyst is to report on the Maximum number seen as:Days SeenVisits520010150255010010example1. The Numeric Event is aggregating for all visits and w...

Re: Counter Evars: Can they measure ZERO ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
Since there is no Adobe documentation on this apart from defining the ability to increment or decrement an integer, I'm going to go with my gut and say that it is not a valid use of a Counter eVarAs a solution through sterile testing, I have proved that 'Unspecified' truly represents the absence of being exposed to this Counter eVar and the team is satisfied with the answer

Launch Publishing Workflow: Developing within a release cycle ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Experience Platform Launch
While Launch allows for the publication of libraries continuously, some of us must adhere to strict release windowsIn our scheme, only one person has the ability to publish to production and that can only be done during particular hours on a particular day (every two weeks)My question is, how can I not be blocked from development while QA and UAT are in progress? For example. When I complete my dev work within the sprint and submit to Staging (where QA/UAT happens), I want to create a new library...

Re: Counter Evars: Can they measure ZERO ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
Thank you for the replyThis is particularly referring to the Counter setting for eVars. I think your response (which is correct) is in the context of numeric events?

Counter Evars: Can they measure ZERO ? Alandy_Iceboats - Adobe Analytics
I have a circumstance where we are being asked to measure when something is ZERO, but also accumulate the total before an eventIt is understood that the absence of an evar would be 'Unspecified' but in this particular request the ask is to have "0" displayed along with the other accumulated digitsJudging by the absence of any documentation about not incrementing a counter evar, I assume that "=0" "=+0" OR "=-0" would not workFurther in the event of a visit that never accumulates, I doubt that a ...
