The traffic was from a company that we've engaged for regulatory
archiving purposes, unbeknownst to me. I added the IP Address to the
Exclude By IP Address (Analytics > Admin > All admin > Exclude by IP) to
prevent it from skewing our analytics data.
I'm looking closely at our website traffic patterns and noticed
something strange. Yesterday, June 14, 2022, I broke down
Pageviews/Visits/Unique Visitors and Bounces by Hour of Day. At 3:00 AM
there was a big spike in traffic. Broken down further by Browser, IP
Address and Region, I found that the traffic spike was from a single
Browser - Google Chrome 91.0, a single IP address (in screenshot below),
and Region - Oregon. The Bounces coming from this device is extremely
high, bounce rate in the ...
I've reviewed the instructions for uploading ID sync file
I believe I understand and have a good plan but please kindly confirm. I
want to create an ID sync file with these 3 identifiers:1) CRM ID, this
is the MASTERDPID for our implementation2) Hashed email ID, from our
internal system3) Subscriber ID, also f...
@kchaitanya thank you, I appreciate your response. I will go ahead and
set up the new data sources for the other IDs as discussed. The cookie
data source that uses IDs were set up previously by someone else who is
no longer in our organization and there's no explanation why it was
When someone logs in to our website we collect their CRM ID via Adobe
Data Collection. In ADC there's a rule set up as follows:Extension:
Experience Cloud ID ServiceAction Type: Set Customer IDsThen there's an
Integration Code populated. In AAM there's a Cross-device Data Source
that's been set up with the Integration Code matching the same
Integration Code in ADC and therefore these IDs are being collected into
AAM. This setup works fine. Questions:1. As mentioned, there's a
cross-device data s...
eVar11 Allocation is - Most Recent (Last). Expire after is - Never.
There is custom code that pulls eVar11. There was an issue last year
that was causing eVar11 to show Unspecified for 30% of PVs. Adobe
support was contacted and they recommended to add this code into the
Adobe Analytics extension in Data Collection (aka Launch). This is the
code as is from the AA extension (CONFIGURE TRACKER USING CUSTOM CODE):
/* March 2021: Bug exists where MCID is set to Unspecified for 30% of
page view hits....
My understanding is that when a visitor goes to our site (with Adobe
Data Collection/Analytics), the Adobe software looks for an Adobe
cookie. If there is one found it means that cookie was created
previously and an ECID already exists for that visitor (or technically
the browser/device). If there isn't one found, a new cookie is created.
Each ECID is a unique identifier for a unique browser/device.How is it
possible that in Workspace I see ECIDs that have more than one Unique
Visitor count? In ...
I tried your code AS IS and it works perfectly. Mailto links still sends
an image request but without the email address. Other clickable elements
that are tracked in Activity Map are untouched and works fine. Thank
you, your help is much appreciated.
I'm tasked with creating a Rule to track the number of instances an
email link is clicked, i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org. Creating a rule
is easy enough but this is PII and the issue is that the email address
is PII and it must not be collected into any variables including out of
the box Activity Map (Activity Map Link) and ClickMap (Object ID)
variables. After some research, I was able to successfully suppress them
by adding this to the Custom Code in the Analytics Extension in Data
I made some changes and it works now. @yuhuisg , I added parameters to
the s.tl() as suggested. Looks like this. s.pageName =
_satellite.getVar("Page Name");s.eVar1 = _satellite.getVar("Page
Name");s.eVar2 = _satellite.getVar("Page URL");s.events =
