Re: AEM and Magento Integration using Commerce Integration Framework venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Kautuk,My customer is planning to use custom integration mechanism b/w AEM and Magento.Though we have suggested CIF, they have reservations about using it.Do you have any information on how many customers use CIF and how is the feedback? That would help us in convincing them.

SegmentNotFound Exception venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Team,Our client face SegmentNotFoundException in their environment which is in 6.4.5.while we know the standard adobe solution for this. ( i.e running oak-run command), we would like to know the rootcause for this.Any guidance? One of the Adobe docs mentioned that online tar compaction may have removed the segment. Is it possible? We believe that this process would not remove the segments which are in usage.

AEM 6.4 - DMS7 Integration issue venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Team,Oflate, we are facing lot of issue with respect to AEM- DM S7 Integration. We see that asset gets ingested in Scene7, as part of DAM UPDATE ASSET workflow. However , it does not reflect/respond back to AEM with Scene7 specific metadata properties.Specifically, dam:Scene7filestatus property does not get updated. It remains as Upload Start.Because of this, asset is always shown as processing in card view. How to address this?

AEM 6.4 - External Filedatastore - made simpler venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi All,We have a requirement to setup external file datastore for binary data in AEM 6.4.3.I searched for stuff and observed that crx2oak or oak-upgrade would be able to address this. However, while running these tools, it threw error saying that record does not exist.Irony is, this error is thrown on brand new aem instance as well.29.08.2019 11:28:17.295 [main] *INFO* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.upgrade.cli.parser.MigrationOptions - copyVersions parameter set to 1969-12-3129.08.2019 11:28:17.297 [...

Re: Content migration using Crx2oak ( AEM 6.2 to 6.3) venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi All,After 4/5 hrs of struggle with this tool in 6.4.3 , i learned the following for migration of datastore to external filedatastore1. Do not need to run this tool from 6.4 onwards.2. 6.4 stores the data in datastore.3. All we need to do is, move the repository/datastore folder to external filesystem.4. Update the filedatastore OSGi configuration to point to new path of datastore. That's it.

Re: Migration issue venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
All,After struggling for 4/5 hrs, i found that External file datastore setup is very simple in AEM 6.41. AEM 6.4 comes with default datastore under repository to store binary data.2. All we need to do is, move the datastore to external file system ( outside AEM folder)3. Once done, change the configuration for File data store in AEM to map to the new external file system pathThat's it.

Re: Binary less replication is not working venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Borg,One more thought.Hope AEM allows to filter certain mime types during replication. And i believe, we can use it on DMS7 mode. Also, can you please share some document on how to retrict ACL access to renditions folder but not to metadata folder of asset?

Thanks Borg. Also, planning to check whether BL Replication serialization -type can replicate only metadata ,and not the binary, on publisher which does not external datastore.

Thanks Jorg. So, Agent user should have access to metadata node but not to renditions .Is that the way it needs to be configured?

Re: Binary less replication is not working venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Jorg,Custom content builder with the following logic wouldn't help. Please suggest.1. Pare the data2. Identify if it is image/ non-image3. Appropriately apply logic based on asset type . ( Replicate only metadata , if image and replicate full if not image)

But, this would prevent all asset binary from getting replicated. What, if i need to replicate PDF assets fully to publisher?

Re: Binary less replication is not working venkateshs73486 - Adobe Experience Manager
Thanks Jorg.Client has DM-Scene7 setup. So, live page assets are actually pulled from Scene7 ..not from Publisher.Metadata replication is to get all Scene7 properties intact and for tracking purpose. However, assets like PDF need to be replicated with binaries to Publisher ( as Scene7 would not support hosting them)
