Thanks for the quick responses!I tested a default value "test_style" and it did indeed fire as a component of the AA beacon data payload.@Jantzen, I'm checking with the development team to get specifics on how the data layer is being populated. I believe it's a server call, not a screen scrape. I will work with them to see what can be done about moving the data layer up in the sequence of the page build so that all values populate prior to the AA beacon fire.If anyone has tips on how to monitor/...

Hi,I'm trying to set the value of an eVar via Data Element + Page Load Rule in DTM.My page has a data layer with multiple object branches, for example:dataLayer.pageInfo.countrydataLayer.productInfo.styledataLayer.visitorInfo.zipcodeetc I can successfully pass values from the dataLayer.pageInfo branch into evars via a DE referencing the js object path as:dataLayer.pageInfo.countrye.g. in the PLR, eVar11=%Country% But, all my DE's pointing to values on the .productInfo branch fail to pass. For ex...

Hi Erika,Does it matter if I enter in the custom script via the Adobe Analytics section vs the Javascript section?Other ideas I've heard involve writing the custom script prefaced with var s=window.s;ex:var s=window.s;s.purchaseID=my_cart_id;I've made a Data Element from the js variable on the page and named it my_cart_id. Tried a custom script as:s.purchaseID = _satellite.getVar('my_cart_id');Does that look right, or should it be:s.purchaseID = _satellite.getVar('%my_cart_id%');?Thanks!

Alternately, I've tried writing some custom scripts, but I can't seem to get any to fire.I'm in Page Load Rule > Adobe Analytics > Custom Page Code [Open Editor] >s.purchaseID=;e.g.s.purchaseID=my_order_ID; Am I missing anything? Thanks!

Hi,I'm in DTM trying to write a Page Load rule that will set s.purchaseID to a javascript variable declared on the Order Confirmation page. I can find s.campaign, eVars, props, events etc in the Adobe Analytics section of the rule builder, but not s.purchaseID. Am I looking in the right place? Thanks!

I'm struggling to properly configure an Event Click rule in DTM that will correctly deploy a Pointroll script. Are there any resources available to support this particular scenario? Has anyone successfully used DTM to deploy Pointroll? Thanks,Frank.

Sorry, it was un-published and I was using the testing plugin to access the staging DTM tag. Should be there now... Thanks!

Hi, I have a page at: http://www.threeekings.com/dtm/demosite/consumerJSON.html There's a data layer with an element 'planCategory'. In the console, I can access the element's value by typing:consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategorywhich returns:"MAPD" But when I try to create a data element to do the same thing, I get empty quotes:_satellite.getVar('planCategory')"" My attempts to create a functioning data element include:- JS Object, with Path = window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategor...

Hi Salome,Thanks for responding. Erika and her team were able to get back to me with the following suggestions: Their Analytics tool was set to load page top, but the “Global” rule (where eVar72 was being set) was set to run at page bottom; I set the rule to run at page top and the eVar72 value is showing up consistently in staging So, by configuring the rule to load at page top, the Analytics code began firing correctly. Thanks!

Hi Michael,Prior to your comment, I had not configured a Purchase event. I have since updated the rule to include a Purchase event, but the results are the same at this time. Thanks!

Hi Shawn,I added the Page URL settings as you suggested. This particular Page Rule also has the variables for Purchase Event, s.zip and s.state set via the UI as well.I am not seeing any of these variables fire, but I do see the rule firing in the debugging console. Thanks!

I have a page load rule to track my order confirmation data. The rule consists of criteria to ensure it fires only on the order confirmation page. The rule also specifies that Analytics variables for State and Zip fire (based on pre-configured Data Elements calling js vars on page)Finally there is Custom Page Code (in the Analytics section):var s=window.s;s.purchaseID=my_cart_id;s.products=my_sc_order_products;I can see the rule fire without errors in the console using Satellite debugging (_satel...

Hi,The event type = click, with the "Apply event handler directly to element" box checkedI'm using a selector as follows:a[href="#dualtank"]The only other conditions to the rule are path restrictions for the right directory.I have checked the "Adobe Analytics page code is already present" I'll play with the timing. Thanks!

Hi,I'm able to see my Event Based Rule fire on page, but the eVar and prop I have specified to fire as part of the rule are not showing up in the beacon. The page already has existing page code and I'm using URL to link to the s_code.js file. Here's the page:http://www.threeekings.com/dtm/uhc/Any clue what I have configured wrong? Thanks!

Hi Mike, That does allow the rule to fire, but doesn't afford us the flexibility we need to write one rule for both the dev and prod environments. We're trying to format a global rule for all pages on the site. Maybe I need to re-work the regex for the path statement. Thanks!

DTM page load rule won't fire

Hi, I'm having trouble getting a page load rule to fire. I'm using the staging tag on a dev server, and the basic Adobe Analytics fire on the page load through DTM. The rule is configured to fire at the bottom of the page. I've set the criteria using path and a regex defined as: .indycar. (I'm trying to use criteria that fire for both the dev and prod servers)A sample dev page is here:http://dev.indycar.ims.com/news Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!Frank.
