HI,Are your users completing the forms in Reader or Acrobat? If they are using a Reader to view and complete the forms, then the forms must be enabled in order fo the entered data to be saved along with the form. Otherwise, when the user sends the form back to you, it will be blank.As for the form submit button - that is not going to send a completed form either. Table numbering is skewed after 'delete' instance - Adobe LiveCycle 06-07-2011

I have a table that automatically numbers each added row of data. Unfortunately, if a row is deleted, the numbering is skewed. Here is the script I use: form1.MinutesTable.Row1.Index::initialize - (JavaScript, client)this.rawValue = this.parent.index + 1If anyone knows why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it, I would appreciate the help.Thanks in advance,Jenny

Thanks for your reply!The form is dynamic. I had this question posted on the LiveCycle ES and ES2 forum also and that one generated some interesting possible solutions. In the end, though, I just changed the buttons to checkboxes so I could get on with things. Got a deadline to meet...Thanks again!~Jennifer

Thanks Malcolm.Darn. Too late.I decided to change the buttons to checkboxes on the form because those are easy and consistent and because this form will eventually become a webform and I can have the webform guy use a button instead of a checkbox. I am working on a deadline, too.I am really interested to learn how to use the buttons in the way I was trying to, however, so maybe I can fool around with that method when I am finished with this little project.I REALLY appreciate your time and help!!

Jeanette,Thank you, but that script didn't do the trick on my form. I think the buttons work differently than the checkboxes because I have never had an issue with a checkbox script. I use those all the time.
