Thank you so much!!! I don't know where I would be without this forum.For a self starter I have made some pretty decent bespoke forms for my organisation largely thanks to the help of you guys here when I hit a roadblock. I really want to understand how you know to use stuff like this for (i; i < oSubfoms.length; i += 1) {Can you recommend anything for a total beginner for JS? Course, reading material? I read a LOT of stuff and sometimes can work it out for myself, but I lack the basic knowledge...

Good morning I am trying to reset ONE field in a repeating subform. I don't want to hide the instances of the subform for this action, or re-set the entire form. The field I wish to reset is form1.Main.sfOMKT.Table1.Row3.sfFigs.numFigures and sfOMKT is the repeating subform which it lives in. Obviously this works great for the first instance: xfa.host.resetData("form1.Main.sfOMKT.Table1.Row3.sfFigs.numFigures");But no matter how much I read I cannot grasp the referencing thing... Would anyone be...

OK progress!!! I am getting a result and it is noting the "point" but not the numbers after the decimal point - example below:No error showing on the debugger when I try it in Acrobat - could it be an adjustment in the actual code?@Mayank_Tiwari - you are some kind of legend to get me this far sir!!!

Still no good 😞 Shifts the error up to line 7 telling me no closing brace. If I add a closing brace to Line 7, it just shifts down to the next error being an illegal "return" which says to me I have the closing brace in the wrong spot - but I have no idea where it should go 🙂 *adding the brace (clearly in the wrong spot) gives the next errorI have tried to apply some logic and have added it here - and the error has cleared - but again, I have no idea if it is correct. I have tried to research ...

Thank you so much for your time. I think this one it a bit above my skillset. If I copy and paste the above into a Script Object, I have an error: Basically, on the exit event of a number field (numFigures) I have used WordNum to calculate a written result in a field txtWords . So I guess I should reference the SO in the exit event of the numFigures, but I don't think I am going to be able to work out how. However - I will make this as correct for anyone else who is better at this stuff than I a...

Thank you for this! I think I had seen this in my hunt for answers but did not think it applied to AEM. Would you be able to help me with where this goes? The article states it is for a web page and to "put it in the head of the page". I am not a developer - I get by with the basics, but this one is a bit beyond me! 🙂 Which action would this sit within?

Hello - I am sure this is easy, but I can't seem to find anything not related to $ and ¢. I wish to convert a number with 5 decimal places to words - but I can't seem to find how. It is not dollars - they are units from a managed fund - so 125.62365 for example. Is this possible? WordNum works well - but I am sure just don't know how to extend it... Nat

Thank you @rd I definitely will. Apparently 6.5 is being "packaged" somewhere offshore at the moment. I work for a global firm headquartered in NYC and only 4 of us in the whole organisation use AEM so getting any priority on this is difficult. But I've built all of the Australian core documents on it so🤞🤞it's not too far off. Such a bizarre bug. And not the first time I've seen it crash on calculate. Just the first time I've worked out it's that specific command that kills it....

Thank you so much for your response! I am unable to access the link because this is my personal Adobe account and I just have a standalone installation of AEM and the version is above. Am I doomed?

Desperate here - of late, my AEM is crashing every time I attempt to add a calculate script - Java and FormCalc alike. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it has not helped. I have just been working around it but this time I can't. Has this happened to anyone else and have you been able to fix it? EDIT - it appears to happen when I type the word "this" !! As soon as I do that, it freezes up and closes down.

Fair enough - I think I'm just over this one We are blocked from anything Google or DropBox-like here I work for a global firm and they are very strict on that stuff. I'll try and explain better but if it still doesn't make sense, don't worry - I might just find another way to do it!Table with repeating row is within Main. So Main.tblPartV.Row1 It also has an account number field within that row and a dropdown (ddType) which holds the selections "Individual, Company, Joint" etc.Further down the ...

I think this whole referencing business is going to kill me. I have to travel interstate next week and I have downloaded a truckload of You Tube clips on it to watch on the plane try and wrap my brain around it!! I have the reference of the subforms ok - what I can't manage is to reference the repeats...and I did try the [*] but I have probably put it in the wrong spot. This is what I have:Repeating row that contains the dropdown is: Main.tblPartV.Row1The dropdown has selections (will only name ...

HelloI have a table which contains a dropdown, and on the change event of the dropdown it shows and hides various sub forms depending on the selection. The row in which this dropdown lives is repeatable. The first dropdown does as its told, but the second and subsequent ones do not - and I know it is because I am not referencing it correctly and it is looking at the first instance only. I have honestly scoured for hours on this one, but I get confused between [*], _subform, [0], resolveNodes, re...

You - my friend - are a SUPER HERO! That worked. Simple as that. I am totally self taught on this stuff, so I have always been of the idea that it was better to reference more than less when there was multiple sub-forms. Clearly I am totally wrong there!!I don't suppose you can explain that concept to me can you?Thank you SO SO SO much....

Hello Firstly thank you so much to these forums. They save my life so often. Hoping someone can do the same with this issue I have - its' a bit complicated!I have a form which outlines a number of account types (Individual, Joint, Company etc) which are all individual subforms. Within the Joint and Company subforms you need to indicate how many holders / directors there are by entering a figure which in turn produces a table with that amount of rows for completion of their names. The code I used...

I think I worked it out if anyone else is looking:var nRows = table._Row1.count;var aValues = " ";for (I=0; I< nRows; i++){aValues = aValues + xfa.resolveNode("table.Row[" +i+"].field").rawValue + " ";}this.rawValue = aValues;Now I just have to stop it showing "null" when its blank and I am away

Hello - I have been searching high and low for the answer to this, and I feel like I have come close, but I can't quite get there. I am not skilled enough in JS or LiveCycle.All I am wanting to do is stitch together the text from multiple new instances of one field. I have a table that clients fill out their names, but the number of clients on the account can vary. If there are three clients on the one account, I just need to combine those names into one field later on down the form (and use it ...

Hello - very new to Livecycle, but getting there slowly with the basics. One thing I am struggling with is that I cannot for the life of me enable the JavaScript debugging console. I am finding myself having to save the document, open it in Pro, check the console to find my error and then go back into LC to fix it. I have all the settings enabled in Pro, (I have searched that a million times over on the net and see the same options - have them all - including to run on startup. But it won't show...
