Tx Arun. Weirdly, I was NOT able to add my user to the administrators froup using the old useradmin interface (It didn't give an error, but simply did not persist). However when doing it via the user management section of the new Admin interface it work well. Really appreciate.

Hoping someone on here can help me out of a conundrum. We are trying to remove all Admin sessions from our application, but are stuck with a few due to JCR Access Denied exceptions. Specifically, when we try to create AEM groups or users with a service user we get an Access Denied exception. Here is a piece of code written to isolate the problem:private void testUserCreation2() { String groupName = "TestingGroup1"; Session session = null; ResourceResolver resourceResolver = null; String createdGr...

Hi Mayank. Problem is on an Adaptive form, I was just referencing LiveCycle to explain the functionality I'm looking for. I'll add some more detail in the question.

Relative XML data binding in AEM Adaptive forms - Is this possible?

In the good-ol' days of Adobe LiveCycle we often reused form fragments multiple times in a single form. To ensure data bindings worked correctly we would:Bind the fragment subform to a higher-level XML element (i.e. a complex type)Bind fields inside the fragment to individual XML elements At runtime, the form would then assemble to XML binding by adding the subform binding and the field binding together.I can't seem to get this capability working in AEM Adaptive forms. Not sure if I'm doing some...

Not sure I'm fully understanding your issue, but I guess you mean that: You've built a form using LiveCycle DesignerIf you fill and submit the form using Adobe Acrobat the data is submittedBut if you fill and submit with another PDF viewer the data does not submit. The thing to be aware is that LiveCycle forms are based on the XFA standard. which is only supported by Acrobat and Adobe Reader. If you want to build a form that can be filled using any PDF reader you will need to build forms using th...

Hi Steve, although the doc describes a log about access rights in AEM, it does not define which permissions a user would require to create new groups.Would you perhaps be able to enumerate which specific permissions a user would require in order to create other groups?

Autenticating against multiple LDAP server, depending on which path a user tries to access

I have a requirement to authenticate a user against different LDAP server, depending on which path of the AEM site he is trying to access. For example /content/app/internal - Should be authenticated against Active Directory/content/app/external - Should be authenticated against a separate Apache LDAPInitially my solution was simply to create two configurations for login, each with its own SyncHandler, IDP and External Login module. Using JCR permissions, we make sure that users from the external...

I've been struggling getting ACLs built on a JCR structure for a while now. The requirement seems super simple, but I can't seem to find the solution.Let's say I have the following node structure:car-types (Properties: jcr:primaryType, jcr:mixinType)bmw (Properties: jcr:primaryType, jcr:mixinType, jcr:uuid, brandHeadquarters, marketShare)car-instancesbmw-320i (Properties: jcr:primaryType, jcr:mixinType, jcr:uuid, price, fuelEfficiency, colour)bmw-m3 (Properties: jcr:primaryType, jcr:mixinType, j...
