Paid Search Channel Value when you have the Advertising Analytics Integration timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hi,I was going through the channel manager and was struggling with the concept of what I should label the channel's value to for Paid Search.Type of Paid Search: "Matches Paid Search Detection Rules" (AMO ID driven by the free Adobe Analytics Advertising integration.)What do you think should the channel's value be? I was thinking Search Engine + Keyword but I was not sure if that would tap into the AMO ID values I currently use. Thanks,Tim

Bounces comparison on Adobe vs Google timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello,I have what I think is a unique use case that has been perplexing me lately. I have bounces collected in Adobe and Google since we are about to migrate systems.I was comparing bounces and Google identifies roughly double the amount of bounces on our site than Adobe. This was interesting because all other data in all - traffic - channel reporting were almost identical to Adobe.I understand there are different definitions:Google Says:"A bounce is a single-page session on your site. In Analyt...

Re: Campaign Query Parameters with Colons timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Yes I had a vendor tell us we were using unsafe characters for www.test.com?ecid=test:test:test on their email system (They add their own tracking and its conflicting with our parameters) I was surprised they thought colons were unsafe. Since I have learned about them since I started in marketing. I'm glad I have the support of this forum to back up that colons are a good practice for campaign query parameters.

Campaign Query Parameters with Colons timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello,I had a question regarding campaign query parameters. I am designing them as one string for the campaign variable www.test.com?ecid=test:test:test for example.Would you consider a colon a url safe character? I would like to understand because I thought the colon approach was url safe for the appended campaign parameters. Thanks,Tim

This would not work based on my prior testing. If urls are two different delimiter lengths it would throw off the result.

Re: Regex help in Classification Rule Builder timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello,Yes I have read through the documentation. If I use this formula ^(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)$ I will only catch a url such as test: test: test: testIt will not read a url as test: test: test.My issue is that the formula isnt dynamic enough for my use case.

Re: Regex help in Classification Rule Builder timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello,Thanks for responding. This is for page formatting for site section. I want to establish Site Section 1, Site Section 2, Site Section 3, Site Section 4. The current issue is that since I formatted every / as a : I am trying to use : as a delimiter to build all 4 sections. When I use ^(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+) it only accepts urls with multiple delimiters rather than if its a short url with one or 2 delimiters.I would like to make a formula that accepts 1,2,3, or 4 delimiters. Let me know...

Regex help in Classification Rule Builder timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello,I am trying to create site sections in Adobe Analytics. I already have the page in this format test: testa: testb: testc:testdThe url can vary from test: testa: testb: testc:testd to testa: testb: testc to testa: testb to test.My current regex formula only works for test: testa: testb: testc:testd and none of the shorter pages. This is the current formula I am using and its proving to not be of use because shorter urls are not being identified for classification.^(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+)\:(.+...

Best Practice: Tracking Menu Naivagation for Ecommerce timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hello, I wanted to track the top nav menu worth. For example, if a user selects a drop down labelled test with selections of test1,test2,test3 what menu click ends up contributing to more revenue. I was thinking of tracking this as a standard evar collecting data for each menu selection like Test: Test1 that way I could relate if a user clicked on a menu selection I could calculate their average revenue.Am I correct in my assumption? Question on Understanding purchaseID Event Recording Vs Currency Sucess Events timf25166966 - Adobe Analytics
Hi all (first time poster), I'm very new to understanding events in terms of eCommerce and I had a question. Is there a limit to the amount of standard purchase events I can use? I wanted to create an additional revenue field.I have looked at my standard events tied to revenue. I can't seem to create another standard event and I read documentation on the importance of having them tied to the Unique Event Recording Purchase ID.My fear is that a success event with currency could have errant revenue...
