Thanks OlivBur for reminding me that. My servlet is already registered as resource type. I almost forgot about the getResource, my bad.

Thanks for your suggestion but it may need to include login credentials specific for each environment, right. I was just curious about whether a sling model can be referred from a sling servlet. As it is not possible, I'll look for a different approach that suits my requirements. Thank you once again.

As I have authorable parameters I have to use the Sling Model to bring the author configured data to backend. Is there any better option to bring JCR content data through servlet.

I need to call a rest service by passing a JSON parameter and accept a JSON result. This service invocation should be triggered by a click event. Some request parameters should be configurable to the author, some should be read from cookie and another parameter should be passed from front end by a click event.I created a sling model to read all JCR properties and to read some values from cookie. The JSON request Param will be generated inside this slingModel. I created an OSGi service which call...

Hi ,Actually 'StandardConfig' is referred to request because I have to read some values from cookie inside that slingModel. The reason why I can't call the service directly from the servlet is that the request parameter for the service call is based on the author configured value. So I have used the slingModel to get all those values and created a requestobject to call the service. This service will return the result and I am able to access that from the HTL.The one option is to reload the conte...

Thanks @Jorg for the suggestion but the @ValueMapValue in the slingmodels are not getting value. I debug the code and find out that. Actually I need the method inside @Postconstruct to work before I call the model. Is there any way to solve this problem. My model class snippet is like this.@Model(adaptables = SlingHttpServletRequest.class)public class StandardrateConfig {@ValueMapValue@Via("resource")@Optional@Default(values = "")private String[] rateconfigurations;..............@SelfSlingHttpSe...

I have a sling model which inject an OSGi service. The request parameter for the service call is configurable. This service request is also generated in the sling model. This will invoke an API call and process the result in the sling model. I need to invoke this sling model inside a sling servlet call because a click event should trigger this functionality. So is there a way to invoke a sling model from a sling servlet.

In that code snippet they are using only SlingHttpServletRequest object and is adapted to the SlingHttpServletRequest class. In my case I need to use both SlingHttpServletRequest and SlingHttpResponse object. For getting cookie value I'll use the below coderequest.setCookie() [SlingHttpServletRequest]For setting cookie I need to use the below coderesponse.setCookie() [SlingHttpResponse]My question is how can I get both the objects in the same slingModel

I need to get and set some values in cookie inside the slingModel. I am currently adapting this to SlingHttpServletRequest. Is there any way to inject SlingHttpServletResponse inside the current slingModel.

Thanks @MC Stuff. I was actually thinking about not to use any filters or extend SAMLAuthenticationHandler but to get the data using Userproperties API. Is there any other configuration that can be done in AEM side to prevent the attribute from saving in the jcr.

I have a requirement to fetch some SAML response attributes. For that I have configured those attributes in the Synchronized Attributes field in the AEM SAML 2.0 Authentiacation Handler. But for some users one of my synchronized attribute will be empty. The admin team reports that this is throwing error. Is there any way to handle empty SAML attribute values.

Thanks all for your help. I got it resolved. What I did was that I created a new component without specifying the name attribute. Then created OSGI config nodes under different run modes. Then in the activate method with parameter of type Map simply called the property field name.

Hi smacdonald2008,Thanks for your reply but I am afraid these docs are not helping me. Earlier I read run mode configurations using@Property(unbounded=PropertyUnbounded.DEFAULT, label="Standard Rates Service URL", description="URL to connect Standard Rates Service API")and in the @Activate I apply the below code to read the property values.protected void activate(Map properties) {this.standardrateserviceurl = PropertiesUtil.toString(properties.get(STANDARD_SERVICE_URL), "default");}By using this...

Thanks Veena for your reply. I am trying to migrate something similar in this document. (https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/osgi_config.html ). They are using SCR annotations in this. I am trying to do that using the OSGI R6 annotations.

I am working on the migration of SCR annotation to OSGI R6 annotations. But I am not sure on how to progress with the OSGI run mode configuration migration using the new @component annotation provided by org.osgi.service.component.annotations. Any help would be appreciated.
