I was kind of hoping to have a more general extension that we can use on any project without anything custom on the AEM side. Those REST API's on your site looked like the perfect solution, and I've seen some other people using them online, but I just cannot replicate the success they've had with them.

Correct me if I am wrong, that's a Java API? The extension I am building has to be in NodeJS, so I believe I am limited to the HTTP API, or perhaps Filevault API.

So I'm trying to build a plugin for my IDE to automatically sync up changes to my local AEM by pushing a small package up with my changes. I found the REST API's here: List of common AEM cURL commandsI am calling the API as instructed and I get back a 200 OK from the API. However, when I look in my package manager, I don't see the package at all. Is there a header or something I need that may be missing? There is nothing in the logs as far as I can tell either. This is the URL I am calling from m...

smac, I don't really have a choice right now - I have to use classic. Hopefully my company will let us upgrade to 6.3 and use touch soon.I found out the problem though, so for anyone else that may or may not experience something similar:My AEM is having some issues invalidating cache for clientlibs. I've noticed it happen with a few components, and I've simply deleted the generated folder. However, for my xtype stuff, there is no generated folder. So I found running the script at this URL solved...

I am working on a MutliField component with a Custom Xtype, so our author can create a list of YouTube videos for a built-in playlist. I created a component called videoplaylistmultifield that just contains a single js file which builds the fields and registers the xtype and inside my Video component dialog, it uses this xtype. The issue is, I want to update the fields, but AEM seems to be retaining an old version of the xtype component. I can even delete the entire xtype component from crx and ...

Reusing Scaffolds between Apps

I am trying to reuse some scaffolds from another app living on the same server, where the only real difference is the cq:targetPath of the scaffold.I've tried a few things that don't seem to work, using ResourceSuperType, and using cqinclude.I've had the most success with cqinclude, where I add a dialog to the 2nd scaffold, and just set the xtype to cqinclude on the dialog, with a path to the original dialog.infinity.json.The issue with this approach is, the cqinclude appends a overlay selector ...
