The printing logic in SiteCatalyst needs to be streamlined. As it is
written now, the entire dashboard is recalculated when a print request
is generated (confirmed by TierII). This might have made sense for
pre-14.7 dashboards, but 14.7 and onward has been optimized for printing
already. There should be no need to regenerate a report to get it into
print format. Many time, for large dashboards, a time-out occurs and we
are not able to get a print view.
Please give SiteCatalyst the ability to email/schedule dashboards with a
historical date. Currently, if a dashboard is too large to print
directly from the browser, emailing/scheduling becomes the only option.
However, reports cannot be emailed/scheduled to run for a past date. The
result: Users with large dashboards who wish to see historical data are
forced to rebuild the dashboard with that date in it.
