This is now available with the Adobe Analytics Spring 2014 release! Segment ownership is not transferred directly, but recipients of a shared segment can create a copy for themselves to own. Also, admins can operate on other users' segments.

This is now available for segments. We have a goal to do something similar for calculated metrics in the near future. For now, I am marketing this as partially implemented.

I am very, very pleased to report that segment management is now available with the Adobe Analytics Spring 2014 release! I believe we got most of the requested features into the release; if there is something that we missed, please create a new idea and we will monitor it.

This is a great suggestion, and one that we've heard from others outside of the Idea Exchange as well. We will keep a close eye on this, and consider it against the other priorities on our roadmap. Please continue to vote and comment!
