We actually implemented this a while ago. If you set up a Calendar Event you can now "push" it to all users automatically rather than requiring the user to go and add it manually.

@jer: No, they certainly don't have to be mutually exclusive! I was asking more to try to understand which one is more important to you, though. Thanks for sharing the use case - that's really helpful. We may want to talk to you (and @michael-jet) more about this soon.

This is a good point that we'll keep in mind as we work toward making Calendar Events available in Analysis Workspace (which, as @JGrover noted with his status change above, is something we've got on our backlog to add ...
