Yes breakdowns are problematic when you really want your data as 2 dimensions side by side. You can more easily measure which 2 dimensions are the top combinations. With breakdowns you cannot do that at all as the sort is based on the parentMy 2c...

To add to this I also want to know how many times a workspace project has been viewed, how many are created per user and how many are shared as well as scheduled for deliveries in pdf and csv form

I think Ideally you want the option when the segment is included t choose if it should be a reference or a copy. Mainly I can see situations when you have complex segment you might want to include the structure and than modify it to a new segment

Fully support this feature . It would also be nice from statistics perspective - which are most used segments, metrics, dimension etc!
