Re: Updating a record from within a Javascript Step - Adobe Campaign Standard 08-02-2018
Excellent. Thanks Amit! Works like a charm. Hard coded the schema name as per your inline instructions and it works just fine for this specific workflow.I'd like to know if there's a way for me to use the schemaName variable I've already extracted on the first line to make the collection variable a bit more flexible?Cheers!

Updating a record from within a Javascript Step - Adobe Campaign Standard 07-02-2018
Hi guys,I'm trying to perform some string manipulation on the result set of a previous query. I'm using an intermediary Javascript step to contain the logic.var schemaName = vars.targetSchema.substr(vars.targetSchema.indexOf(":") + 1); logInfo(schemaName); var query = xtk.queryDef.create( ); result = query.ExecuteQuery(); for each (var e in result) { logInfo(e.@description + e.@id); // manipulation and assignment logic goes here // db update logic goes here}// better if the db update goes ...

Re: RegEx Replace in Expressions - Adobe Campaign Standard 28-08-2017
Thanks Amit, Florent. We've gone the route of least resistance and had the ETL guys take care of cleaning up the data before we load it into campaign. Going to try your suggestion when things calm down a bit.Cheers!--Erik

Re: RegEx Replace in Expressions - Adobe Campaign Standard 13-08-2017
Thanks Florent. If that's the case, maybe I can have a script read in the results of the query and have it write to a new column after processing, and use that for the comparison? Does the javascript engine used by AC have regular expressions implemented? Actually I'll make a quick check. hahaha!Cheers!--Erik

RegEx Replace in Expressions - Adobe Campaign Standard 07-08-2017
Hi all,I need to clean up a varchar phone number of all non-numerical characters to compare against the SMS logs. I was wondering if there was a way to do so easily, maybe preprocessing or a computed field?Thanks!--Erik

JS object fields in expressions - Adobe Campaign Standard 09-07-2017
Hi all,I'm building a lookup javascript object whose values I want to use in an enrichment activity as a calculated field. Here's an example of what i want to happenVariable:instance.vars.variableA={key:'value'};---Expression$(instance/vars/@variableA[@columnFromTargetingDimension])Hope I'm making sense. I need to read the associated value from the javascript object based on a field from the targeting dimension but i'm having problems with the syntax or if this is possible in the first place. I'...

Re: Variables in Update activity - Adobe Campaign Standard 06-07-2017
Hi Vipul,Hahahaha! XDWe just cloned our tables on a dev instance and tried the script variables in a Query activity against an FDA table and it is working fine. Not too sure what's happening with the actual instance we're using, so it definitely seems to be an environmental issue.Sweet! How can I get my hands on 8850? I might build myself a new sandbox. Cheers, and thanks.--Erik

Hi Vipul,Interesting. I'll take a closer look.Seems this is also the case when it comes to query activities against an FDA table? Can you confirm? We're on an old build, version 8594, if that helps.Cheers!--Erik
