Re: Nested dropdowns deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
So are you telling me I should be able to add custom components in my form? As in not in the form template but the actual form itself? If yes, could you please guide me through, how I would be able to achieve it? Its just that there is no design mode for an adaptive form and hence I am not able to look at my custom components in the side bar to include them.

I actually haven't tried those two options yet because that requires me to pull in some extra stuff into my eclipse. I will try it out and see what it does.

Re: Hiding background image of a field deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
So when I give a build from my eclipse to AEM with a package that contains the theme.css, which was initially created by the theme editor, I dont see the background image in the theme editor even though theme.css has a reference to that background image.THEME.CSS in crxTHEME EDITORNow if I make any changes in my theme editor, it refreshes the theme.css and erases the references and and whatever that were not present in theme.editor like some padding stuff etc.

We are including /etc/clientlibs/fd/themes//content/dam/formsanddocuments-themes/but not the specific theme. I think that should be fine right?

Re: Nested dropdowns deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
True. But I am able to include only out of the box components in an adaptive form. I am able to include custom components in the template of the form, but not the form by itself. So even if I am able to create a custom component, I am not able to include it in a specific form.

Nested dropdowns deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
I am trying to implement Nested drop down for one of the drop downs we have. The options are around 250 so it would be a bad user experience for the user to look through it. Look for the picture below for a referenceWhen the user hovers or clicks on "Accommodation and Food Services" I want the sub-category to pop up beside it so that it is easier for the user to navigate. Can someone please help me out with how to implement this? Thank you so much.

Re: Hiding background image of a field deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
James R GreenYes. We are indeed including both of them in our project. And also, when I use theme editor and upload a back ground image, the theme.css gets generated fine. I use vaultclipse to bring the code back to eclipse. Now if I give a build from eclipse to my local as a package, I don't see that image anymore. I can definitely see the reference in theme.css and the image in the assets folder for sure, but no image in the theme editor itself. Weird! 😕So whenever I change something else in ...

Re: Hiding background image of a field deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Whenever I make changes to the theme, theme.css is being changed since all these changes are saved in there. But sometimes, the changes are not being reflected, especially with the background images. As soon as I edit the theme, I couldn't see the changes in theme.css or whenever I give a build from eclipse to aem with the right theme.css, and I go to the theme, I couldn't see the background image there.

Re: Telephone field being used for numeric deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Jagjeet,The use case shown in the video is exactly what is going on.And your code is working pretty good. But I still cannot use the numeric box because it is not able to handle more than 16 digits in the field.1. Place a numeric box.2. preview the form.3. Enter 20-25 digits in the field.4. The numeric box will either change some of the last digits to '0' or format the number into decimals.

Re: Telephone field being used for numeric deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
jagjeetthukral & James R GreenHonestly both the codes are working pretty good. What I need is being achieved by both of them. But the code Jagjeet has posted, is a one time code and for the code snippet James has posted, I would need to hard code the element name every time I am making it a required field.I will definitely document both of these so that, depending on what kind of implementation each teams might pursue, they can use the respective way. For me, Jagjeet's would make it much easier ...

Hey James,Thanks for the code. It definitely helped me to start comparing the results succesfully.Could you help me out with any example code for triggering required field validation right after I exit out of the field for a numeric field component? It works for Text field and Phone number field. But not numeric field. Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Telephone field being used for numeric deepakt84913413 - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Jagjeet,Yes. I could use that. But I also was not able to use it because of the validation error not being triggered when I exit out of the numeric field. When I make other fields like text field, Phone number field etc, required, the "Required field" validation triggers right after the I exit out of the field, which does not happen with numeric field for some reason. Is there a way I could trigger that?
