Presence of subform depends on number of pages - Adobe LiveCycle 22-03-2010
I am putting together a form that starts as one page, but can expand to multiple pages based on user input. I am trying to figure out the best way to make a certain subform appear on the first page of the form ONLY when the form expands to multipe pages.Anyone have a good idea?A little more detail: this form has a "Totals" field that is calculated based on various data that the users input. For company reasons, this field has to be at the end of the form. This is fine when the form info is all c...

Re: Trying to use single quotation in display pattern for printing - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2009
Thanks for the help, but it didn't quite work. However, it was very helpful in that I used a similar approach to get what I needed.Basically I used Alt + 0180 to get this mark: ´I should have thought of it earlier because I had to use Alt + 0176 to get the degree symbol in there.Anyway, thanks for your help!Dave

Trying to use single quotation in display pattern for printing - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2009
Hi all,I'm trying to use the pattern feature of livecycle to help my users with entering in GPS coordinates.I would like them to only have to enter numbers and decimals and have the N, W, ° and ' appear automatically. I have had success getting the first three to appear, but can't figure out how to include the single quotation for a minute mark since you have to use single quotations to specify the stuff you want to appear ('N', 'W', '°', etc.)Does anyone know if it is possible to get the ' to a...

Re: Does anyone know if it's possible to have a conditional statement in the click event of a delete row button for a repeating table? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-07-2009
Hi Bruce,I'm getting closer. I actually tried a variety of expressions, such as "== null" and yours, but the problem persists.I am settling on the following, but there is a hangup related to the field that is being looked at for the condition that I will explain in a minute. Here's the script:if(ViolationsTable.ViolCorrSection.ViolationsText.DebitVal.isNull || ViolationsTable.ViolCorrSection.ViolationsText.DebitVal.rawValue.length == 0){ViolationsTable.ViolCorrSection.instanceManager.removeInsta...

Does anyone know if it's possible to have a conditional statement in the click event of a delete row button for a repeating table? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-07-2009
Hi,I am hoping to have a message box appear when I delete a row of a repeating table (remove instance in the click event of a remove button in that row) ONLY when a certain field of that row is has an existing value. Looking at it the other way, I don't want the message box to appear if the field is empty and the user is just removing extra lines for a cleaner look. In this case, the field being checked for a value is called "DebitVal".Any ideas? Here is the script that I am trying to use in the ...

Re: Conditional calculation not working with repeating table - Adobe LiveCycle 08-07-2009
Hi Niall,I sure appreciate your help with this.I plugged in the code as you wrote it, but it doesn't appear to be working. I tried selecting items w/ point values, but the debit total sum didn't calculate. I also tried selecting the item with the "C" and the debit total sum remained "0" instead of going to blank.Ideas?Dave

Re: Conditional calculation not working with repeating table - Adobe LiveCycle 08-07-2009
Niall,Would you mind helping me out a little more? My initial calculation was in FormCalc and I'm not familiar with doing a sum calculation for a repeating table in JavaScript. How would you convert my previous calc script for a repeating table sum to JavaScript.I have used the script you gave, but am unsure if it is working because my Total Sum field is set up to either subtract the total debits from 100 or enter a C depending on whether a sum calculation was done or a "" value was entered.Dave

Conditional calculation not working with repeating table - Adobe LiveCycle 08-07-2009
Hi all,I have a repeating table that can grow/shrink depending on how many entries a person needs. Each entry gets a value inputed in a "score" field. If all the scores are numbers, a simple sum of all the fields is calculated to get a number for total debit points. However, there are cases where an entry can be a "C", meaning that the score is Critical. In this case, the total debits sum should be blank or null. The problem I run into is that the calculation will only work if the C "score" is on...
