Hi All--My goal is to pull back a single value and display it in two
fields, using a static form and formhandler. When a co-worker had both
fields with the binding used to retrieve the value, he found that the
population for the field was getting garbled, and not displaying what we
needed or had pointed at. My proposed solution is to retrieve the data
once using a binding, then have the 2nd field populate basedon what
content is in the first... but I don't know how to do this. Any
Hello all.I am trying to convert some old forms into new ones,
accounding for a major data model change and upgradees in technology.
Further, we are required to use static forms, versus dynamic. To convert
the forms, we initially tried opening in Live Cycle and just changing
the bindings, but this did not work as we did not have a "master" page
created by the import process, and we couldn't manually add one. Our
next solution was to save the initial form as a background image, insert
this into th...
Hey Guys-- silly question, but I am having issues making an invisible
object turn visible on an event trigger. I have my code setup for
object.presence = 'visible', and this works perfectly for taking
something set as visible and turning it to invisible or back again.
However, it does not work for taking something set as "invisible" in the
design page and making it visible. I am doing this via a static page,
and I'd like to know if it is possible. Thanks!
I apologize-- it appears to work when the object is a text field, but
not a text object. I was trying to change the text of a floating field
inside of a text box. The only way that I can put the floating field in
the text object is if it is set to hidden, and then it can't be made
visible. I tried TextField.presence = 'visible'; after the changing of
the .rawvalue, but it doesn't display. Is there any way for me to do
this? Thanks!Possibly by taking out some of the letters, the email
The button and text field are on the same subform, and everything has
implemented exactly what you said below, but am not having positive
Should this be possible in a Static form? Thanks.
Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I've been struggling with
(it must be static), and I want to have text appear/disapear based on an
event trigger (mouseclick). I tried creating a floating text object
inside of a static text object, but I'm not sure how I can make the
string value for this change based on the event trigger. The only advice
in the Adobe help was purely regarding FormCalc, which I can't use as
