Re: SDK for Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions - Adobe LiveCycle 02-05-2008
I'm pretty sure that you need LiveCycle Workflow to use Quick Process Action Components (QPACs). I don't have this installed at the moment, but I think there is some documentation on using the Adobe provided QPACs either on the DVD image or in context help once it is installed.

Re: SDK for Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions - Adobe LiveCycle 29-04-2008
You interact with Reader Extensions primarily through Java objects which you look up through JNDI.There are examples in the documentation\{language} folder in either the DVD of the zipped DVD image which you installed from. api_reference.pdf and developer_guide.pdf should tell you everything you need to know.

Re: How does "Submit to HTTP" work? - Adobe LiveCycle 22-04-2008
"If the user has Reader, they may get an error message saying that Reader could not display the (HTML) response."I've just checked and initial test indicates that if you respond with a PDF from the URL you specify for submission then Reader will open a new window with this PDF file in. Has anyone tried this approach and if so have you encountered any issues with it?It so far seems to be the only way to meet my current requirements:1. Data is personal and must be submitted securely over SSL (so n...

Re: Nested Drop Down Menus - Adobe LiveCycle 14-03-2008
Try popping a message box up on the first line of the script to double check what the raw value for the radio button group is... I believe that this may vary depending on what (if any) bindings are defined for the group:> xfa.host.messageBox("rawValue:"+this.rawValue);

Re: Nested Drop Down Menus - Adobe LiveCycle 14-03-2008
I don't think FormCalc supports that type of if else construct (although I'm not 100% as I always use Javascript in forms).Try changing the drop down boxes on the script editor panel to Javascript and Client (these settings aren't global, so make sure you select the correct script first).

Re: Validation - Adobe LiveCycle 12-03-2008
You have 7 digits after the slash, but only 6 in the validation pattern. Might not be the issue but worth discounting first of all.

Re: How does "Submit to HTTP" work? - Adobe LiveCycle 10-03-2008
Aandi is saying that not everybody uses a desktop email client for email, many people now only have web mail accounts. In that scenario, when they click submit via email, even if the message with the data/pdf does pop up in a their system's default mail client (Outlook Express etc.) it will not be configured (no account set up), so they will be unable to submit the form and will probably give up, frustrated.

Re: JBOSSService.exe mem usage 665,000K at idle - Adobe LiveCycle 04-03-2008
I think the amount of memory consumed will depend on the number of products deployed, and in the case of PDF Generator, I would imagine the number of native conversion applications. My server with Acrobat and full Office conversion support usually uses about 800-900MB idle. How many products from LC7 did you have installed when you reached the figure of 131,000K? I've just restarted a PDFG/ARES LC7 machine, after a reboot it uses 350MB for just two products.

Re: Simple javascript problem using 'if' and '&&' - Adobe LiveCycle 28-02-2008
If there is any difference in whitespace, the == operation won't match the strings. One way you can spot if there is a whitespace difference is by putting some recognisable characters directly before and after the values in your debug box:> xfa.host.messageBox("tf_Company.rawValue: >>" + tf_Company.rawValue + "<<", "Debugging", 3); Might not be the cause in this case, but worth eliminating as a possibility. Also, I think == is case sensitive, does the case match with what is shown in the debug box...

Re: HotFix 2 - Adobe LiveCycle 27-02-2008
Which version of Flex Builder, 2 or 3? If it's the release version of FB 3 you will have the latest hotfix already, if it's FB2 then see if this file exists:>C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 2 Plug-in\Flex SDK 2\flex-sdk-description.xmlIf it doesn't then I believe that means you don't have any hotfixes installed. If it does, you can open it and see which hotfix has been applied.
