In that case, it needs to copy/paste or upload again.. I dont think there is a concept of livecopy on assets

Then you are actually duplicating the assets .. Instead you can use asset1 across geo from global itself or upload it something like company > product > asset1 and refer across. 

As of now, I believe livecopy is supported only for the page type and you cannot create it for assets

If you have used the relative path, then it should append the domain. it depends on how you are getting the path of the image.

Can you try to install your code from command prompt, goto your project folder and exec [1] and see if it installs your project in localhostmvn clean install -PautoinstallPackage and see if it installs all your content and bundles

How are you trying to install it to local AEM instance ?

Can you share your server configuration ?

is your local AEM instance up and running when you are trying to connect it with Eclipse ?Also, please check the logs in AEM and see the error if any
