When you make changes to dialog fields, it makes an ajax request. What are the parameters being passed in ajax call

Please make sure that intellij supports java 8 and compiler is using jdk 1.8 complieance, please add java 8 support for inttellij if missing.Your installed JRE should be pointing to 1.8 version and when you run your build make sure JRE is set to workspace default (which will be 1.8 in your case)

How are you calling sling.getService method? Is that service available and active?Have you tried any other sling service?
