@kynabaker16    How about now? it has been > 1.5 year passed. 

As I have tried, it's not possible. What I am doing now, it's to filter the planned dates for a task in each column, put the critical paths in columns, highlight different color for completed, upcoming, late tasks, there for progress can be seen.  I am still look for the timeline view.
