  • Per our consultant when we implemented almost 3 years ago, we use Groups as our Divisions (IT, Engineering, HR, etc.). This is how we can apply permissions to projects, reports, layout templates, etc. And now Custom Forms  We use Teams as a team within divisions (though they have no true tie to the...

  • Just to be more clear, you would put this value format in your display field (in your report or view (not in the form itself)). Let me know if you want me to expand more. I never know how much detail to add here as everyone's experience is different. Vic Alejandro, PMP, CSM | IT | Sr. Technical Proj...

  • You can do it via the API (we currently do that for a few things). However I believe you can just create a template and the Approvals can be set in the tasks in the template (assuming you can use a pre made template - I.e you have a consistent approved). • It's definitely possible (we do it). But the only way I know of is through the API, which means you'll need a developer to code. So I can't easily describe how to do it here. It'll take some work. Vic Alejandro, PMP, CSM | IT | Sr. IT Project Manager Denver Water | t: 303-628-7262 | c: 303-319-6473 ...

  • It's inherent in the CheckBoxes. I thought it was kind of a GUI standard that radio buttons were single selection, check boxes are multi. But I don't know where I got that from. I might have made it up in my head J . But I do know the checkboxes are multi select. We use them in a bunch of our forms....

  • Yes Checkboxes allow multiselect and dropdowns offer the option. But radio button is single selection as far I've known it. Though we're 2.5 years in, so perhaps before my time it was allowable. • Hi Sabrina, Yes, you can absolutely allow others to edit the forms (without having to be assigned). The access is actually controlled at the Task/Issue level (but can be managed at the Project level). Without knowing all the details of your setup, you should be able to go to the project these tasks ...

  • We've been tracking time in (IT) projects in WF (Task/Issue level), but we haven't been militant about it. However, we are starting to roll out standards that require our IT staff to log time to their tasks/issues. We're actually directly in the middle of creating an integration between WF and Maxim...

  • Yeah the Category ID and Category Name field seem to produce the same result now. You can use the custom form name in either. "When I was a kid...." we had to paste the actual GUID for the Category ID. Glad they changed that J Vic Alejandro, PMP, CSM | IT | Sr. IT Project Manager Denver Water | t: (...
