Yes, we were able to fix this by setting under  <VirtualHost *:80> LimitRequestFieldSize 32768 </VirtualHost>of our myproject.vhost file. to be safer, duplicated this setting in ALL vhost files having `<VirtualHost *:80>

You need to enable SSL for local AEM Server to make local run on https instead of http. Also its not ideal to use absoluteLink. Its overloaded methods are deprecated in favor of externalizer.externalLink(). So enable SSL, use externalLink and check if it solves.

One way todo (not recommneded as Jorg pointed above), is delete the job instances under /var.
