Use getResourceResolver() to resolve path. You can use resource.getResourceResolver()

Every user has permissions, also the anonymous user.Since 6.1 those permissions are more strict in /etc

Validate the ACL/permissions, they have changed since 6.1.It is most likely an issue with permissions.

The currentPage is only available via the request, not via the resource.

Thanks for your reply. I can't answer it with this info.Other way of upgrading is to use crx2oak to transwer content/config from your 6.0 instance.
