The Sightly/HTL clientlibs will always output a relative path. With rewriters you can output different urls.

If your path field the author can also an address that begins with http://

In HTL you can do the following:<sly data-sly-test="${wcmmode.edit}">This will be output in EDIT mode.</sly>No need for taglibs etc anymore.

What you could do is something like this:${ properties[model.varname]}When model.varname gets a property-name, then that should work.
