Re: Marketing Channel on Pageview - VS - Marketing Channel on Custom Event Metric - Adobe Analytics 19-09-2022
Hey @yuhuisg - thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it. And thank you for the tip re: side-by-side comparison in a freeform table. RE: "Furthermore, your first set of screenshots where, in the first one you compare Marketing Channels x your Custom Pageview Event, vs the second one where you compare a specific Page broken down by Marketing Channels x Page Views. So again, this isn't a fair apple-to-apple comparison." I appreciate its not apples for apples. But what I don't understand is why...

Re: Marketing Channel on Pageview - VS - Marketing Channel on Custom Event Metric - Adobe Analytics 18-09-2022
Thanks so much for responding @PratheepArunRaj! So the Custom Page View event is set to fire (from Adobe Launch) using a max-frequency condition of once per session. Yes, this might create an opportunity for the numbers to be wildly different, but you can see from the below images that they are fairly much identical (2839 for the custom event and 2990 for the regular pageview) - suggesting that in almost all cases people are only requesting the page once. I am hoping these screenshots demonstrat...

Marketing Channel on Pageview - VS - Marketing Channel on Custom Event Metric - Adobe Analytics 15-09-2022
Let's say I want to get a breakdown of which marketing channels were attributed to a pageview for page x. Let's also pretend that I have a custom event set up to fire for each pageview of that same page (page x), and then want to see what the marketing channel breakdown looks like on that metric. Conceptually the pageview metric and my custom event metric (the pretend pageview metric) are the same'ish thing right? At least on the surface. But what would account for such a large discrepancy in th...

Why can't I see eVar persist from hit to hit? - Adobe Analytics 03-03-2022
I'm lead to believe that eVars persist (once set) until they are configured to expire. In some cases, expiration might be set to 'visit' - which I take to mean... once set, the value of that eVar will persist until the visit ends. While using the chrome extension 'Adobe Analytics Debugger', I can see the eVar having a value at the point it is set... but once I click away onto some other part of the site, I can no longer see the eVar and the value it was set to. I'm expecting to see it with every...

Where are these numbers (original and new) coming from / stored? Also, what is 'home to home'?

Why does the AdCloud extension in Launch permit the use of Data Elements in the Conversion Property Name field? - Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection 20-01-2021
The AdCloud extension in Adobe Launch offers one Action Type: "Track Conversion". As part of this Action, I can prescribe a "Conversion Property Name" and a corresponding "Value". Both "Conversion Property Name" and "Value" fields permit the use of a Data Element. The behaviour of the Data Element differs depending on which field you put it in. If I put it in the "Conversion Property Name" field, it will pass the name of the Data Element to AdCloud (for example: "%name_of_data_element%"). If I p...
