I am in the process of converting our PDF forms to XDP. I converted a simple form and set the "Color mandatory fields that are not filled in", but it still does not highlight mandatory fields. What am I missing? xfa.host.validationsEnabled is set to true.

I tried out your form here and it submits without doing any validations. Did you test out the form at your end? Maybe, I am missing something. Also, are you testing out the form rendering it as html and submitting outside of workspace?

Ok Mayank, Can you tell me then how to code the following login in the preSubmit event of the submit button. We can use my test form as the guinea pig. Validate the form (for required fields etc.)if validation succesful{ Make a webservice call if webservice call successful { submit form } else { cancel submission }}else{ cancel submission} Thanks,Ravi.

Mayank, I created a small sample application to see if the presubmit event works and it doesn't for me. Can we do another session sometime next week and you can tell me what I am missing?

Hi Mayank, My form has a lot of links to internal webservices. Is there a way I can send you the form separately instead of posting on a public forum? Thanks,Ravi.

Hi Mayank, For your answer to 1. This is not the behavior I am seeing when xdp is rendered as HTML in workspace. The complete button has no link to any buttons on the form and all it can be used for is to submit. It does validations if xfa.host.validationsEnabled is set to true, but other than that, it executes no button in the form. If you want I can show this to you in a meeting session and you can clarify what you are saying. Also, the link that you have provided applies to when you are submi...

Two questions -1. I render an xdp form as HTML. When in workspace, is there a way to invoke the complete button from the form? 2. I see a save button in workspace when rendering xdp as html. Is there a way to remove the save button?

Since time fields do not seem to work correctly in XDP to HTML forms, I changed the time fields to text fields and then calculate the military time value from that in a separate field and trying to pass it to a webservice. I see the calculated fields filled in in my form, but the value is not being passed to my webservice. All that's being passed is nulls. Any ideas?

In my xdp form, I have a FSSUBMIT_ button and a AWS_SUBMIT button, but when the form opens in workspace, I get a complete button, but it doesn't seem to be executing either the FSSUBMIT_ or the AWS_SUBMIT - it just seems to submit without any of the validations in my FSSUBMIT_ preSubmit event. I can't figure out which button the Complete button is mapping to and executing. Any insight or help would be much appreciated.

Hi Pulkit, Thanks for your time to share your comments. Somebody else had commented that if I go Edit -> Lock in designer and uncheck anything that's checked and that somehow seemed to make it better i.e. the exit event seems to fire more often (although sometimes it still doesn't). Below's my code snippet.Yes, I am taking my PDF form and saving it as XDP and then trying to get it to work. I am hoping I can do that otherwise, it's a lot of work to start over from scratch. Thanks for the Designer ...

I am in the process of converting my PDF forms in AEM to XDP form. For one particular date field, I have some logic coded in the exit event. I see that the exit event fires if I click over to the next field, but does not fire if I tab over to the next field. Does anyone know what I need to do so that the exit event fires consistently when I either click OR tab to the next field? I also notice that sometimes the code I have in the enter event of certain fields seem to fire multiple times instead ...

Thanks for the response. I am foolishly hoping for an easy workaround instead of having to re-write all my fields and code. I have opened a ticket with AEM support as well to see if they have any insight. If I get anything useful, I'll pass it on. Thanks.

Is there a way to automatically delete deadlined tasks out of workspace? This is the scenario - user A gets AssignTask1 with a deadline of x minutes. user A doesn't do anything and the deadline is crossed, the process moves on to next step. Now when user A logs into workspace, he still sees the task and all he can do is delete the task (he can't open the form or anything) - is there a way to automatically remove it in the process workflow?I have seen similar questions elsewhere in the forum but n...

The PDF I submit resides on my local machine. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "Here the PDF i am using while submit thru browser will generate on the fly and its resides on LC server." I am not sure how to do that. How do you generate on the fly? What do you mean when you say it resides on the LC server? Why do you have to generate it if it already exists on the LC server?I will try it out with Google chrome. Any ideas on why it throws the HTTP 403 on IE?Thanks,Ravi.

I am submitting it within the network. Like I said, when I open the PDF in Reader and submit, the submit goes through. When I open the PDF using internet explorer, I get an http 403. Am I supposed to submit to something other than the REST url if submitting via internet explorer?

The authentication is set to NO.When I open the PDF in adobe reader and submit, it submits to the REST url, but when I open the PDF in internet explorer and submit, it doesn't hit the REST url. Most of our users will access our intranet and open the PDF in internet explorer, so I need it to work both ways (opening with reader or via internet explorer). Also wanted to add that the PDF does have electronic signatures, so it submits to the REST url as a PDF.Thanks.

I am opening the document in internet explorer (which is how users will access the PDF). Yes, the document has reader extensions applied.

I am trying to submit (as a PDF) a document to a REST url (a long lived adobe livecycle process). When I open the PDF via internet explorer and submit, it does not seem to do anything. Does anyone know why and how I can get around it?
