@Preeti5 Addition to what @Kiran_Vedantam has mentioned, also check if the issue persists with all the pages of your template or is it only for just one page irrespective of your template. If so , it might be an isolated issue to your current page. You might probably have to check the error logs too.

@SocialTaylor Your code looks good to me now. If everything goes well, this has to execute. There can be few weird situations. Something like your jar bundles are not updated. Just for a cross verification, remove the bundle package completely from your system/console and reinstall and check if this resolves your issue. Adding some references below for this kind of issue. https://github.com/adobe/aem-component-generator/issues/19#issuecomment-559168608https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.co...

@SocialTaylor There are few minor adjustments you have to do to your logic to get this work . Find below the sample model I did to just implement the very basic of your logic 1. First point you have to understand is the naming conventions. Since your component's multifield has name cards , as you can see in your node structure , each items starting from item0 , item1,.... will get added to a node/ resource by name "cards" . So basically you have to inject the resource which has the name as "card...

As @Bimmi_Soi mentioned below, add the msm configurations to your project source code filters and deploy the code. If you cannot add it to the codebase, then include the below filter to your content package too. It should work fine.

Whenever a page is Activated or Published , few properties get set on the page. (See below) . When a page is unpublished , it sets lastReplicationAction as "Deactivate" There can be few scenarios 1. If the page is never published , these properties will not be present on the page. So you can search for existence of any of these properties. Something like below 2. If the pages are published, there can be a scenario when the pages are unpublished and not available in publish, then the cq:lastRepli...

Yes as @Asutosh_Jena_ mentioned, do it at your editable template initial page properties and it should be available across any new pages created using that templates. That is the beauty of editable templates 🙂 ThanksVeena

Hi All Recently I happened to attend an interview where, along with lot other architectural questions, I was asked which query is best ? . AFAIK , there is not much difference between them performance wise, as at the end everything get compiled and converted to SQL2. When I gave this answer the interviewer said "Adobe recommends XPath. why?" . I am not sure. I went and checked the documentation for query builder and I can see (recommended) against XPATH. I searched the forum and got this https:/...

Hi @kautuk_sahni @Singh_Jagpreet Is there any plan to bring back the "Ask the AEM Experts" Sessions. I think those sessions were really helpful and since a lot of us doesn't get chance to work on every stack in AEM , these session might help a lot of us in many ways. Would love to see these sessions back ThanksVeena

For anyone looking for a solution , Problem (Root Cause) :- the below error means that you ran the jar first with a higher version of Java and now you are running it with a lower version. Java Runtime (class file version 53.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0In my case I ran the jar first with Java 11 , but my cmd picked Java 8 nowadays and I ended up with this exact error . Solution :- Stop your AEM Jar Remove your lower Java version and upgrade t...

@adityas31531516 I think there is some issues in the pom.xml. The errors clearly say that the child modules are missing. That said , it is looking for the pom.xml for the child modules and it might be missing. Can you cross check this ? Also , if you followed some tutorial , could you share the link or the steps you followed. It will help us to check what exactly is going wrong here Edit :- Did you follow this GIT ? https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd-spa . If so , please make sure to follo...

@mancillaign Basically there is no difference between both the certification. You can do Renewal only if you already have a valid Developer certification. Please check this https://spark.adobe.com/page/uptvfcSbxpT4g/ "You will not be able to earn a certification by just passing this exam. In order to have your certification renewed, you must already be certified as an AEM Developer." Also the price for Renewal is 95USD ( Not sure if it is the same for US users ) . But at the same time the price ...

HTL is purely a templating language and you cannot do any logic manipulation in it. You have to either use Java or JS for the same. If you don't have an associated Java class and this is the only action you want to do with some properties , I will give you a quick tip. In cases like that I always use a Javascript Use-API. For such small things I would prefer JS rather than going a Java route. Refer below link to see how you can write. If you don't get an idea, let me know I will try to provide s...

Hi All Greetings. Hope all of you are staying safe and healthy and keeping your people safe. I was going through the documentation for use api. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-htl/using/htl/use-api-java.html?lang=en I saw this interesting note recommended by Adobe, which said NOTEA local Java use-class is recommended when the use-class is specific to the component in question.A bundle Java use-class is recommended when the Java code implements a service that is accesse...
