In the calculated field, I would check the value of the check box use that value to determine which formatted output to use. It should be noted that the result field should be a text field and read only. You would have to use JavaScript for the calculation since JavaScript supports formatted strings by using the "util.printf(cFormat, *)".

No, every signer would need a digital signature certificate unique to that individual and not restricted by form. Adobe has numerous documents about this and it is included in the "Help" files of Acrobat and Reader which you might want to review. If you are going to assign special fields to each user, electronic forms may not be your best solution.

Have you set the "Date Format" on the "Binding" tab, the "Display Pattern" on the "Field" tab and the "Validation Pattern" on the "Value" tab?All of these fields need to match or be of a compatible pattern.

By any chance, was the form you are working on started as a PDF file that you are adding LiveCycle form fields to?If so, you would have to have all field identification text in the original PDF, just like using Acrobat's form tool.

Auto-tab is a process where there is a field of finite length and when text is entered and when the number of characters has reached the limit of the field focus is moved to the next field. This was a custom key stroke script in Acrobat Forms and used before comb fields were introduced. But this code could be used for any length field besides an individual character. Fro example a form could have a 2 character U.S. state field and one could enter the 2 letter state abbreviation and the focus wou...

With FormCalc one can use the "Date2Num()" function to obtain the number of days from the epoch date.Date2Num(d1[, f1[, k1]]) Returns the number of days since the epoch, given a date string. One needs to specify the date string and format and the local (language) identifier is optional.

Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer only focus on one field at a time. But you can query any field with out losing focus of the current field.

You can check the value of check box with:if(CheckBox1.rawValue == 1)....then you just need to add your code to copy or clear the address fields as necessary.

As documented in Converting Acrobat® JavaScript for Use in LiveCycle Designer Forms:"All Acrobat Annot properties and methods can be used in LiveCycle Designer forms."Note: Only Static forms support the annotation layer; Dynamic forms do not."You will need to know the number of the annotation on the page and then you can use the "contents" property to obtain the name of the file.

Live Cycle Designer has two languages available, JavaScript and FormCalc. Your example is JavaScript. The same result can be achieved with FormCalc by using either "this.rawValue = upper(FieldName)" or "FieldName = upper(FieldName)" in the "exit" event script.

You can not use "Designer" to provide the "Extended Reader Rights" this can only be done in Acrobat 8. This means you have to save your "Designer" form. Then open the form in Acrobat * Professional and then select the "Enable User Rights", or using the distribute form feature.Filling in form fields and saving the file

Re: How do I add 364 days to a date?
Avatar

The "InvoiceDate" is a character string and not the number of days from the epoch date for the "InvoiceDate". You first have to convert the "InvoiceDate" character string value to the number of days since the epoch date by using the "Date2Num()" function. Once you have the "InvoiceDate" as the number of days since the epoch date you can add the additional days before using the "Num2Date()" function to convert the adjusted number of days back to a date string.
