User Permissions and Access Labels

Avatar

I'm trying to look into what roles/permissions/access labels could be used within RTCDP. Specifically, there are a couple things that I want to limit:

1. look into permissions for the ability allow only certain users to edit certain audience criteria;  The crux of the need is to ensure that we can designate a subset of users to be the creators of our audiences that will be scaled for re-use AND we need to ensure that once these audiences are created and quality checked, they cannot be changed.

2. look into permissions/roles for the ability of only certain users to edit audience names

3. look into roles for 1. users to be able to publish audiences and 2. Other users to just have the ability to create and save audiences as a draft but not publish audiences;

I think number 3 can be done through the creation of user roles. I'm mainly concerned about the possibility to perform actions 1 and 2. I don't know much about limiting the ability to edit/create audiences.

Hi @NickMannion,

To manage roles, permissions, and access labels within the tool for your needs you can perform the following steps:

1.Limit editing of Audience Criteria:

-Use custom user roles to assign permissions. Create a role that allows only certain users to edit audience criteria, ensuring that only designated users can create and modify audiences. Once this audiences are quality checked, restrict further editing to prevent changes.

-Documentation

2. Limit editing of Audience Names:

-Implement access labels and assign them to audience names. This will allow only specific users to edit these names, ensuring control over how audiences are identified and labelled within the system.

-Documentation

3. Separate Roles for Publishing and Drafting Audiences:

-Build distinct roles: one for users who can publish audiences, and another for users who can only create and save audiences as as drafts. This setup ensures that not all users have the authority to publish, allowing for a controlled workflow.

¡Hope this helps!

consider using a permission manager and plan to have user groups with users and specific access control for each user.
