There's a bit of confusion on what is purely RtCDP vs AJO. What is the actual distinction offering between RtCDP and AJO, in terms of unified profiles and real-time profile unification?
Let's take the following capabilities:
- unify profiles from different data sources (web, CRM, mobile, etc) in real-time
- personalisation on web or across channels
- send emails or engage with them in other channels?
Can this be fulfilled with AJO ONLY or do I explicitly need RtCDP for this?
I understand RtCDP covers more destinations (which AJO is also catching up), but for the above capability outlined.. can I go with AJO sku only?
Hey @Rockett, great question! You've identified a great benefit of the application services built within Adobe Experience Platform which is that there are many shared features provided across the solution sets.
Generally speaking we've aligned our product offerings around the features customers need to be successful for specific use cases. The ones you've highlight above specifically focus on personalization and activation throughout a potentially omnichannel experience across inbound and outbound touchpoints on direct and owned channel.
This is a classic use case for Adobe Journey Optimizer and generally speaking you should be covered with Adobe Journey Optimizer standalone. That said, the Adobe team is always happy to dive deeper into your architecture and use cases to provide a more thorough readout on the best solution set. 🙂
Can you explain how AJO B2B integrates with Marketo? What is the database source? Is it Marketo or does AJO require RTCDP to house the data?
