If you're referring to Adobe Commerce, please note that hands-on exercises are currently not available for that course.

However, we do offer hands-on exercises for other solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Journey Optimizer. These can be great alternatives if you're looking to gain practical experience.

Adobe Journey Optimizer Foundations

• Module 7 includes hands-on exercises and a simulations environment.

Adobe Journey Optimizer for Developers – Expert

No hands-on exercises at this time

• Currently, this course does not include a simulation environment.

Regarding your question: at this time, Adobe does not provide a separate live AJO practice environment beyond the simulations included in the course. The built-in simulations are the only hands-on option currently available.

Can you tell me if there is a sandbox environment for AJO anywhere (with sample database, sample templates, etc.) where I could get some hands on experience? I haven't got access to AJO while going through the course.

Any tip would be appreciated.

Module 1 of AJO Business Practitioners 1. Getting Started: Lab - Creating Push Campaign using Personalization  - will not react on last task pressing the activate button, which results in uncompleted Lab task. I've repeated this multiple times, same result. Any idea why this doesn't work?

1. Log in to the certification portal: https://certification.adobe.com/courses/ 
2. Navigate to the course: https://certification.adobe.com/courses/1065 
3. Open Module 1: Getting Started Lab – Creating a Push Campaign using Personalization 
4. Click on Resume or Repeat to start the lab. 
5. Use the UI controls: 
   • Play/Pause 
   • Previous 
   • Next 
   • TOC (Table of Content) 
   • Collapse play bar 
6. Click TOC → On the right side, you’ll see Simulation slides and duration. 
7. Click Next → Each slide will show completion progress on the right side. 
   • As you advance, slides are marked with a ✅ check icon 
8. Continue until slide 43 is completed. 
9. Click “Back to course” (top‑right corner). 
10. Verify status change → Module status updates from In‑progress to Completed. 

Complete each simulation slide in order to have the course marked as completed.

apparently it's a browser issue.

I finally managed to complete by switching browser from Firefox to Google Chrome. Your steps work but not in Firefox.

I have started learning Adobe Journey Optimizer and came across hands-on activity in Getting Started module for designing Push campaign. However, there is no "Start" option to launch the same.

To assist you better, I reviewed the Adobe Journey Optimizer for Business Practitioners – Professional course structure, and the hands-on simulation you’re trying to launch is located under Module 3 – Testing and Simulations, not inside Module 1 (Getting Started).

Here’s where you’ll find the correct Start/Restart option:

Course → Adobe Journey Optimizer for Business Practitioners – Professional → Module 3: Testing and Simulations

Inside Module 3, look for the item labelled “Testing and Simulations”. 

You should see a Start, Resume, or Restart button beside it—this is the actual hands-on simulation activity.

I have taken this course myself, so just scroll down from the Getting Started section until you see Testing and Simulations, and you should be able to see a Start or Restart button.
