In AEM Site, page column view and other view does provide a limited inforamtion about page current state but none of the views gives more accurate information like 

When a page is unpublished, does that mean that it was never published or that it was unpublished later? 

Does the page get modified after it is published or before it is published?

And it is impossible to get all this information visually.

To solve this problem, an enhancement to the UI is implemented, which gives quick status visualization.
