Custom Template in Adobe Edge delivery service using Universal Editor.

I am trying to use the x-walk approach for Adobe Edge Delivery Service.
I know that we have a template package provided  by adobe to be imported while creating the EDS site in AEM.
But how do i create different custom templates with different set of blocks components as a starting points to use in different scenario, like homepage, contentpage, blogpage?

With EDS and Universal Editor, only a single empty template is utilized.
