DTM Switch

DTM Switch is a browser plugin for easy switching of debug mode and staging mode for DTM users. It is available for both Chrome and Firefox.
The attached files are very early unsigned versions of the plugins and are provided in this forum on an "as is" basis with no additional support. The production versions of the plugins will eventually be posted to the appropriate browser extension/plugin stores, but these early release versions can be used until that point.

Installation and Usage Instructions:

Chrome Plugin

Install

  1. Download the dtm_switch.crx file from here:  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nlgdemkdapolikbjimjajpmonpbpmipk
  2. Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome
  3. Drag the file into the Chrome window

Use

  1. Go to a web page that has DTM installed
  2. You should see the DTM icon on the right side of your address bar
  3. Click on it
  4. Toggle the buttons
  5. You will need to refresh the page to see the changes

Firefox Plugin

Install

  1. Download the dtm_switch.xpi file from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adobe_dtm_switch/

Search Discovery has released a version of the DTM Debugger Plugin via the Chrome Store.

Hey, Joel. Your hyperlink to the Chrome extension isn't going anywhere.

Jason,

The forum seems to be removing the direct link. I've added the reference so that it is visible. Just copy and paste it into your browser address bar and let me know if you run into any other issues downloading the files.

Thanks,

Joel

The Firefox plugin apparently doesn't work with Private Windows.

With standard windows, I can see the Switch plugin in my toolbar. But not so with Private Windows.

Please help!

Do you have a solution for Internet explorer (10 & 11)? We have a script that throws an error when it's in production only on IE11, but not in Firefox and Chrome. We've moved the script out of production but can't test the problem.

Hi Nicholas,

Currently the DTM Switch plugin is available only for Firefox and Chrome.
