How to separate multiple cookie values?

Avatar

Level 2

Hi, I would like to understand how to set a data element based on a portion of a cookie.

Example:

cookie=cid=123 | uid=jsmith | account=123456 | auth=UN

How can I set the values of each of these items (cid, uid, account, auth) into their own separate data elements?

Thanks for any advice!

Hi,

I'm not really sure if you can store different portions of a cookie into separate data elements since the whole value would be fed into a data element. (however, let me see if I can find some more info on this)

One way you could go about is by storing the cookie value and then passing the relevant attributes separately into a variable thru some rules.

Let me know if that works
