Why is the Activity ID not always visible in the Activity Overview screen?

I noticed that the Activity ID is visible for some activities, but not others, in the Activity Overview screen.

What steps are required before the Activity ID displays on that screen? Do I need to take the activity to a certain point in the process?

@jjo205 As per my understanding the activity ID is always available after the activity is created. The only point when we do not have an activity ID could be when the activity is still in Draft status.
