Sharing segments from AA to AT (without AAM)

Hi Everyone,

 

I've seen quite a few posts from people with the same problem but no one ever posts the solution. 

 

We have created segments in Analytics and published them using the 'tick box' to experience cloud and created directly in the audience library, but neither are showing up in Adobe Target.

 

We have met all prerequisites - ECID/MCID and the right licensing, we are not over our threshold of 75 segments to share and both segments are showing as 'active' in the audience library and it says 'collecting data' in the current size field but, neither segment is showing up in Target more than 4 days later. 

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!  We want to use these for activities inside Target but don't know why it's not working (we no longer have AAM - which are the last audiences that are showing up inside Target via 'experience cloud') and when we search inside target in the audience library for the segment by name it doesn't come up either.

Hi @Mycal_Tamariki ,

License for AAM is not required, but in reality it is still AAM that do all the segment sharing. When you share an audience from Analytics, it will actually show up in Target as '... by Audience Manager' under the 'last modified' column - even when you don't have AAM.

It sounds like you've previously been licensed for AAM, so it could be that when Adobe 'shut down' your license, that they mistakenly turned off some of the settings required for the segment sharing. 

Regardless, you need to create a ticket with ClientCare, so that they can double check the backend configuration to ensure everything is configured as it should be.

An alternative to ClientCare could be to try and request provisioning of the segment sharing:

From your question it does however sound like you've already been provisioned and it stopped working.
Raising a ticket with ClientCare would still be my first choice.
