Problems uploading recommendations feed to Adobe Target

Avatar

Hi all,

Im trying to upload a list of recommended products using the .csv format. The file is stored in AEM and published correctly, however Adobe Target keep displaying "waiting for download" and after a while it displays "Unknown Error".

The file can be downloaded from the browser using the URL.

Thanks for your help.

Mauricio.

Hi @MauG
If the file can be downloaded via the browser, it could be the format in your file.

Recommendation is pretty strict on the file structure, which can be a bit of hazzle the first time. Ensure you download the template and stick to that. Ensure you have 19 columns (even if you don't use them all), and even if you don't use the 'out of the box'-ones, keep them in the file and in the order and just have a space as value.

If you're using excel to save the file, be aware that it might screw up the format - I learned the hard way and it took me 3 days to realize. So I'm always using a text editor now when validating the files.

Let me know how it goes.

thanks @kandersen and @Gokul_Agiwal for your suggestions, I'm trying again using an empty file and uploading to AEM.

I also found this page, not sure if this can help on this problem. Thoughts?

Thanks again!

@MauG , that could certainly also play in, but i'm leaning more towards the format as the root cause.

You can quickly validate this by putting the file on a different location e.g. dropbox and see if that changes anything.

Feel free to share the URL for the file in a PM and I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Hi @MauG

Completely agree with @kandersen  - if you're using the excel to save file, make sure you're selecting the file type as CSV like below

It's recommended to download sample file from target and fill your data in it. you can download it from here. Let us how's going.

Thanks

Thanks Gokul, I uploaded a new and empty csv format without success... next step will be reviewing the IP whitelisting.
